Burns' Stack Explodes

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

Sam Greenwood opened to 24,000 for the second straight hand and Jean-Noel Thorel called on his left. Kahle Burns three-bet shoved all in for 368,000 in the small blind for the second hand in a row as well. This time, Greenwood flicked in a call but Thorel let his hand go.

Sam Greenwood: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Kahle Burns: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Burns was up against it with Greenwood holding the nut hand and the flop of {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} didn't help much. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn got a rise out of Thorel but Burns was left drawing dead to the {k-Hearts} on the river. Within a matter of minutes, Burns who was at the top of the counts was now eliminated and that position now belongs to Greenwood.

Greenwood Calls Burns' Bluff and Doubles into the Chip Lead

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

After both players committed 100,000 pre-flop and 125,000 on the {3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Sam Greenwood checked from the blinds and opponent Kahle Burns bet 140,000 on the {9-Clubs} turn.

Greenwood called and the river was the {j-Spades}. Greenwood checked again and Burns moved all in, covering his opponent. The Canadian sat with 428,000 behind and fanned his time extensions out in front of him as he counted his stack and pondered his decision.

He used two of them before calling. Burns showed {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a stone-cold bluff and Greenwood took down the pot with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}, doubling to around 1.6 million in chips.

Tens Are Good for Kisacikoglu, No Good for Pardo

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

At one table, Sam Greenwood opened to 24,000 from under the gun and Steve O'Dwyer shipped all in for 218,000 on the button. Juan Pardo re-shoved all in from the big blind and Greenwood folded.

Pardo turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} which had O'Dwyer's {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} pipped by one. However, the flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} gave O'Dwyer the lead with a set of nines. The {6-Clubs} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and O'Dwyer doubled up.

Next door, Orpen Kisacikoglu was all in for 289,000 on the button against Ben Heath in the big blind. Kisacikoglu showed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} while Heath had the smaller pair with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. The board ran out {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and the pocket tens gave Kisacikoglu a double up.

Doubles for Li and Grospellier

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

Yuan Li check-raised all in on a {q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop after Danny Tang bet 80,000. Li was all in for 322,000 and Tang called.

Yuan Li: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Danny Tang: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The turn {4-Diamonds} and river {7-Spades} didn't change anything after the cooler flop and Li doubled up.

Meanwhile, there was another cooler flop between Bertrand Grospellier and Chin Wei Lim. Grospellier had flopped a set with {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} on the {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop with Lim holding a flush draw with {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The flush draw became irrelevant after the {9-Hearts} turn improved Grospellier to a full house. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and the Frenchman doubled up.

Dvoress Kicks Badziakouski to the Rail

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 20,000 from under the gun and was called by Steve O'Dwyer on his left. Mikita Badziakouski was next to act and shipped all in for 254,000. Daniel Dvoress re-shoved all in for a little over 300,000 in the big blind and both Thorel and O'Dwyer folded.

Daniel Dvoress: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Dvoress' ace-high was good enough to eliminate Badziakouski.

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised on the button to 21,000 and Danny Tang three-bet all in for 250,000 from the big blind.

Stephen Chidwick: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Danny Tang: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board came {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Tang doubled to around 500,000 in chips.

Mateos Latest Over a Million

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In what looked like a three-bet pot, both Bryn Kenney and Adrian Mateos contributed 137,000 to the pot on a {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and then checked the {2-Spades}{3-Hearts} runout.

Mateos showed {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} when it came to showdown and Kenney had a wry smile before folding.

Thorel Over a Milly

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel raised it up on the button and Mikita Badziakouski called from the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Badziakouski checked to Thorel who continued for 26,000. Badziakouski check-raised to 80,000 and Thorel called.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Badziakouski fired out another bet of 60,000. Thorel took the opportunity to raise this time, making it 150,000. That was enough for Badziakouski who sent his cards to the muck and Thorel pulled in the pot.
