Aleksandr Sheshukov
Aleksandr Sheshukov

Simon Mattsson opened from the button and Aleksandr Sheshukov three-bet all in from the small blind for 58,000. The big blind folded and Mattsson called.

Simon Mattsson: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Aleksandr Sheshukov: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} with aces holding to give Sheshukov a double up against the 2014 EPT Prague final tablist.

Short Stack Senoussi Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Start-of-day short stack Ibrahim Senoussi was all in for his last 28,000 with {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} and was ahead of the {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} of Joao Mestre Ferreira.

However, a ten on the {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop put Ferreira in the lead and the {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} completed the board sending Senoussi to the rail.

Shot Clock
Shot Clock

The shot clock has been introduced now the Main Event has reached Day 3.

Each player will receive five time banks at the start of each day, worth 30 second each.

If a player's 30-second shot clock reaches zero, they will automatically use a time bank unless they do not have any remaining. Then the dealer will announce a five-second countdown and, unless acted upon, their hand will be declared dead.

Noon Restart For Day 3 of the 2019 EPT Prague Main Event

Dominik Panka
Dominik Panka

Out of a field of 1,154 entries, only 141 hopefuls remain to battle for the lion's share of the €5,596,900 prize pool and will return to their seats at the Hilton Prague at noon local time for Day 3 of the 2019 PokerStars EPT Prague €5,300 European Poker Tour (EPT) Main Event. It is the third-biggest EPT Prague Main Event in the 13 years of history of the festival in the Czech capital and all those still in contention already have €9,850 locked up for their efforts.

The action will recommence with blinds of 2,000-5,000 and a big blind ante of 5,000, and five levels of 90 minutes each are scheduled to bring the field one step closer to crowning a champion in the days to come.

At the top of the leaderboard, Roman Herold (769,000) and Xiaqing Ji (768,000) are separated by a single chip only and the all-time highest-earning player Bryn Kenney follows in third place with 656,000. It would certainly be no surprise to see Kenney take another shot at a seven-figure score as a top prize of €1,005,600 is reserved for the eventual champion.

Other notables with more than half a million in chips at their disposal include 2019 EPT Open Sochi runner-up Giorgiy Skhulukhiya (634,000), Luke Marsh (626,000), Giuseppe Carbone (611,000), Pierre Calamusa (601,000), Teun Mulder (573,000), €1,100 EPT Prague National 13th place finisher Fidan Zahiti (543,000) and Akin Tuna (536,000).

Ten former EPT champions remain in contention to become the second two-time winner of the popular circuit and they are led by Dominik Panka (497,000), Ognyan Dimov (313,000) and Aliaksei Boika (220,000). Former Prague champions Hossein Ensan (180,000), Martin Finger (118,000), and PokerStars ambassador Kalidou Sow (70,000) will also be joined at the tables by Mikalai Pobal (162,000), Sebastian Sorensson (148,000), Steve O'Dwyer (101,000), and Davidi Kitai (93,000).

As of Day 3, a 30-second shot clock will be in play and all participants receive five 30-second time bank extensions, which will be replenished every day until the final table.

The live stream action of the feature table with hole cards displayed on a security delay of 30 minutes will be available on the PokerStars Twitch, YouTube and Facebook channels and the PokerNews team will be on the floor to provide all the action from start to finish.
