Gill Gets Better of Ricci

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Harpreet Gill opened to 1,100 from the cutoff before Andrea Ricci three-bet to 4,500 out of the big blind. Gill called.

Ricci continued for 2,000 on the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop and again, Gill called.

Ricci checked the {10-Spades} turn and Gill bet 4,200. After a few moments, Ricci folded. As Gill raked in the pot, he said, "I promise you I have a flush, but you needed to pay to see it."

Last Second Call for Glogar

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Alexander Glogar recapped a hand where he knocked out a player with pocket aces.

It began with Adrian Mateos raising to 900 from the button with the small blind calling.. Glogar three-bet to 3,000 from the big blind and only the small blind called.

Glogar bet 3,600 on the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-} flop and was called. The small blind called a bet of 6,500 on the {8-} turn to see the {4-Hearts} river.

The small blind checked and Glogar bet 11,000. The small blind then jammed for 28,000 prompting glogar to go deep into the tank.

He was on his last time bank card, and made the call at the last second. The small blind turned over the {j-Spades}{9-Spades} and Glogar scooped and sealed the bust out with his {a-}{a-}.

Parker Talbot Niklas Astedt
Parker Talbot Niklas Astedt

There are a lot of fun table draws so far in today's event. One of them has PokerStars Ambassador Parker "Tonkaaaa" Talbot sitting to the immediate left of Niklas "Lena900" Astedt.

In a recent pot, Astedt checked a {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board to Talbot after betting earlier in the hand.

Talbot fired 8,500 and Astedt folded.

"What're ya doing?" Talbot asked teasingly as he dragged the chips.

"Betting my equity" replied Astedt. "I missed".

Nemeth and Van Rooij play 200+ Big Blind Preflop Pot

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Merijn van Rooij
Merijn van Rooij

We're only five levels into the tournament, but four-bets and big all-ins are happening all over the tournament floor already.

Merijn van Rooij opened to 1,000 in the hijack and was three-bet by Audrius Stakelis in the cutoff. Andrea Ricci cold-called on the button, and then the fun really started.

Andras Nemeth came in for a four-bet to 12,000 from the big blind, and with action back on him, Van Rooij five-bet piled his full 47,000 chip stack into the middle. Stakelis and Ricci folded, but after his four-bet, Nemeth was put to a decision for most of his chips.

After a bit of time, he called to see he was involved in a big flip.

Merijn van Rooij: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Andras Nemeth: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The dealer spread a board of {4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}, giving Van Rooij a winning pair of kings on the turn to more than double his stack, while taking a big chunk of the €25,000 Single-Day High Roller II champion's.

Heath's Turn to Double

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Vitalijs Korhs opened to 1,000 from under the gun and was called by Ben Heath (middle position) and Koray Aldemir (big blind).

Korhs continued for 1,700 on the {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and only Heath called.

Korhs then check-called a bet of 2,300 on the {j-Diamonds} turn before checking again on the {5-Spades} river. Heath then bet 17,500, leaving just 100 behind. Korhs used up two time banks and then decided to call.

Heath turned over his {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut-straight and Korhs mucked.

Hallay Doubles Through Bise

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Axel Hallay opened to 1,000 in the hijack and was met with a three-bet to 4,000 from Emil Bise on the button.

Hallay came back with a four-bet all-in for 24,000, which Bise called.

Alex Hallay: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Emil Bise: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Bise was dominated and couldn't improve enough on the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs} runout to avoid doubling up Hallay.
