Carrel Shows the Bluff for PokerNews

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Leith Rashid completed his small blind and Charlie Carrel raised it up to 2,000 from the big blind for Rashid to call.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts}, Rashid bet 500 for Carrel to raise to 2,500. Rashi reraised to 7,500 and Carrel called.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and Rashid continued with a bet of 13,500 which Carrel called.

The {10-Diamonds} completed the board and Rashid opted to check. Carrel shoved for 30,400 which easily covered Rashid's stack. He contemplated for a bit but opted to fold.

"I am going to show this because you're here," while looking at the member of the PokerNews team and tabled the {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for the bluff.

Gill Clashes With Sinclair

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

On a completed board of {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, Harpreet Gill made it 8,500 to go from under the gun. He only needed to get through Jack Sinclair, who opted for a raise to 25,000.

"Oh fuck," Gill immediately exclaimed and then went into the tank. He eventually called and Sinclair tabled the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for aces full of fives to win the pot, as Gill exposed his {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for the inferior full house.

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Thomas Muehloecker
Thomas Muehloecker

Thomas Muehloecker had defended the big blind against Santiago Plante and that eventually created a pot worth 22,000 to the {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} river. Muehloecker bet 4,500 with around 28,000 behind and Plante went into a brief tank. He then slid forward his tower of T-5,000 chips and Muehloecker instantly called.

Plante tabled the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} for aces full and Muehloecker exposed {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for sevens full of aces. "Nothing you can do there," another player at the table remarked as Muehloecker silently gathered his belongings and left the tournament area.

Plante now holds the biggest stack at the table by some margin ahead of Pierre Calamusa.

Lauck Gets Value From Plummer

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Terence Plummer opted for a check-raise to 6,500 on the heads-up turn of {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} out of the small blind. Jonas Lauck in the cutoff just flat-called and Plummer then checked the {a-Spades} on the river. Lauck eyeballed the stack of his opponent on the other side of the table and then bet 16,000.

The very quick call by Plummer followed and Lauck rolled over the {a-Hearts}{8-Spades} for eights full of aces to drag in the pot.

Zegal Rivers Quads

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

The board read {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} with around 6,000 in the middle.

Stanislav Zegal bet 1,900 from under the gun after the small blind player had checked. Jack Sinclair raised it up to 6,000 from the cutoff for the small blind to fold but Zegal called.

The river completed the board with the {8-Spades}. Zegal took some time and announced the check for Sinclair to take his time. After a while, he took out his earphones and asked if Zegal had checked already and the dealer confirmed. Sinclair checked too. Zegal showed the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for quad eights for Sinclair to muck.

Burban Knocked Out by Matar

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

The short stack of Pierrick Burban went into the middle from the button on the {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and the Frenchman tabled the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} for the overpair. Michael Matar held {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the nut flush draw and overcard, which immediately improved on the {a-Diamonds} turn. Burban was drawing dead and had already vaulted out of his chair even before the {6-Hearts} river further improved Matar.
