Carrel Loses Some to Madanzhiev

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Charlie Carrel defended the big blind against Stoyan Madanzhiev and check-called a bet worth 900 on the {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. The {6-Spades} on the turn was checked and Carrel then led the {6-Hearts} river for 6,100. Madanzhiev gave it some thought before raising to 20,000 and a rather surprised Carrel snap-folded to drop below the starting stack.

PokerStars Online Qualifier Klimko Kicked Down by Abbas

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Abbas Moradi had raised to 1,200 from the early position and PokerStars Online Qualifier Matyas Klimko three-bet shoved on his left. The action folded back to Moradi who asked for a count. The dealer confirmed the shove was for 17,800. Moradi took some time and then made the call.

Matyas Klimko: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Abbas Moradi: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Almost the whole table was cheering for an ace to keep the friendly qualifier in the tournament.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} which wasn't the ace but it did give Klimko some extra outs to double up as he picked up the wheel draw.

The turn was the {8-Spades} which didn't help Klimko and neither did the {10-Spades} on the river to send the young Hungarian player out of the tournament.

Jordon and Saliba Split the Pot

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Terry Jordon in the under-the-gun position, Vivian Saliba in the hijack, and Karolis Sereika in the cutoff were in a pot with Saliba all-in with a chance to triple up to 11,700 while Jordon and Sereika were playing for the side pot of 5,200.

The flop came down with the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Jordon check-called the 3,500 bet of Sereika.

They both checked through the {9-Hearts} on the turn to the {5-Clubs}. Jordon cut out some chips and then bet 9,000. Sereika considered it for a few seconds and then folded.

"You win," Jordon said to Saliba before showing the {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Saliba turned over the {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for the split pot.

Panetti Cannot Bluff Plante

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Following a completed board of {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, Christophe Panetti in the big blind bet 8,000 into a pot of around 17,000. That sent Santiago Plante into a brief tank and he eventually made the call.

Panetti shrugged and rolled over the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a bluff, which Plante had beat with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to further increase his already impressive stack.
