Dukic Felted by Chrysovergis

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The cards were already turned over as Nenad Dukic was the player at risk with a short stack holding the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. He faced Emmanouil Chrysovergis with the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} from one seat over and stood no chance on the {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board which gave Chrysovergis quads.

Beresford Builds a Bigger Stack

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

A raise to 2,000 was in front of Conor Beresford and Sven Krieger then pushed for what appeared to be 19,000.

"I don't like the chip thing you did, otherwise I would have probably called," Beresford mentioned in table chat.

Krieger grinned and shot back with a "sorry about that" while Beresford mused over his decision for another 30 seconds. He then splashed in several blue chips with a bang.

Sven Krieger: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Conor Beresford: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

As it turned out, Beresford had his opponent pipped by a notch and that remained to be the case throughout the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board.

Aksu Busts Mertens

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Johan Mertens was all-in and at risk in the big blind and he was called and covered by Osman Aksu in the small blind.

Johan Mertens: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Osman Aksu: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board read {2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} for Mertens to have rivered two pair but for Aksu to hit turn the straight and improve to Broadway on the river.

Mulder Jams Into Karakousis

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With some 21,000 in the middle to the {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} turn, Georgios Karakousis checked his option. Teun Mulder made it 12,000 to go and Karakousis eventually called. He then checked the {8-Hearts} on the river with around 20,000 behind. Mulder moved all-in with the covering stack and forced a fold.

Kenny Hallaert
Kenny Hallaert

At the end of the previous level, Manuel Labous raised to 1,300 from the cutoff and Kenny Hallaert three-bet to 5,500 from the small blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, Hallaert continued with a bet of 4,500 which Labous called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Hallaert fired a bet of 11,000 into the pot which was too much for Labous as he folded.

Near Triple Up for Gill

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Rodrigo Selouan was already gone from the table and his cards were mucked while an enthusiastic Harpreet Gill still recorded on the phone the outcome of the hand. Gill's {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} had flopped two pair on the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board to secure a near triple up, as he also beat the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} of Soenke Jahn.

Nurzynski Loses a Bunch to Borlan

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

On the river of a completed board of {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Piotr Nurzynski raised to 8,500 on the button. Dan Borlan was in the big blind and called to get shown the {a-Spades}{3-Hearts} by Nurzynski. The Romanian had that beat with the {9-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a full house to win the pot, sending the former EPT Main Event champion to half the starting stack.
