Ensan Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Towards the end of the fourth level, Hossein Ensan was involved in a middle-sized pot with Amit Ashkenazi. It was Ensan who checked the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop and then called a bet worth 700 by Ashkenazi. The very same action repeated on the {a-Hearts} turn for another 2,000 and Ensan then checked the {5-Spades} on the river.

Ashkenazi fired a third barrel for 5,000 and Ensan reluctantly called. There would be no showdown as Ashkenazi surrendered and mucked his cards, allowing Ensan to win the pot without showdown.

Baltazar Doubles With Kings

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

The cards of Levente Szabo were already in the muck and he paid off the double for Isabel Baltazar. On a board of {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} of Baltazar for a set of kings prevailed and she doubled back to more than the starting stack.

On the same table are also Andreas Christoforou and Alex Goulder as well.

Romeo Takes From Beekhuis

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Leonardo Romeo defended the small blind and check-called a bet of 2,300 on the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} turn. He then check-called another 2,500 on the {5-Clubs} river when facing more aggression by Benjamin Beekhuis. The Dutchman tabled the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a busted straight and flush draw, which Romeo had beat with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The same table also features Dominik Nitsche as well, who entered a short while ago.

Tedeschi Folds to Wittendorff Bet; Bounces Back with Big Slick

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

With 7,600 in the pot and a full board of {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, Paul Tedeschi checked and Kim Wittendorff bet 7,500. Tedeschi went through all of his options before tossing his hand in the muck to give Wittendorff the pot.

Moments later, Tedeschi raised to 800 from middle position and Kim Wittendorff called from the cutoff. The small blind got out of the way and Okan Karaarslan came along from the big blind.

The flop was {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and all three players checked to see {a-Diamonds} on the turn.

Karaarslan and Tedeschi checked the turn and Wittendorff bet 2,000. Both players called and the river was {10-Hearts}.

Karaarslan checked again and Tedeschi bet 3,700. Wittendorff called and Karaarslan folded before Tedeschi turned over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for the Broadway straight.

Wittendorff tossed the losing hand in the muck and Tedeschi took the pot.
