Subik Out Before the Money

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Chady Ojeil and Jan Subik clashed with both players among the shortest stacks in the room.

Jan Subik: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Chady Ojeil: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop gave Ojeil top set while Subik found some miracle outs on the {q-Hearts} turn. The {4-Diamonds} river was a blank and the field was reduced to the last 180 players. Christian Pedersen followed shortly after as the bubble is looming.

The Money Bubble Approaches

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Within quick succession, more than half a dozen players were eliminated and that has reduced the field to the last 181 players. Only 175 of them will make the money and the upcoming period close to the bubble might get very tense.

Horlacher Fails with the Hero Call

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The river was {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} between Simon Horlacher and Dominik Panka.

Panka had moved all in, meaning Horlacher would have to go all in to call for his last 150,000.

"Not sure if I can fold this one," he said. "Just puts me in..."

He thought for a while, before noticing a friend walk past the table he was seated at.

"Come," he said to him. "I hero call him or I bust out."

"Don't bust out!" replied his friend, but Horlacher put his chips in with {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} only to be shown the {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} of Panka, meaning Horlacher hit the rail.

Kapernopoulos Celebrates Prematurely...But Gets Away With It

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Charalampos Kapernopoulos was all in with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} against the {8-Spades}{7-Spades} of Michal Mrakes.

The flop {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} didn't harm his chances of doubling his 50,000 stack, but the {q-Spades} gave Mrakes a flush draw.

That didn't stop Kapernopoulos jumping to his feet to celebrate. Thankfully for him, the river was the {9-Diamonds} and he doubled.

"I'm going to do that next time I'm all in," remarked tablemate Sebastian Malec.

Pais Raises River

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river as the wet board read {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. From the button, Simeon Naydenov bet 20,000.

Mauircio Pais was in the big blind and waited a while before tossing out several chips for a raise to 55,000. Naydenov checked his cards again and mucked.

Baltateanu Out After the Dinner

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Matteo Calzoni was the first player to bust after dinner and the next all-in showdown took place shortly after.

Silviu Baltateanu open-pushed for 113,000 in the cutoff and Grzegorz Glowny was in the tank. "All or nothing," the Romanian said and Glowny then also moved all-in from the button as well for 3,000 more.

Silviu Baltateanu: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Grzegorz Glowny: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Valentin Cristea walked over to the table of his fellow countryman to see the showdown unfold. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and that spelled the end for Baltateanu.
