"Good Flop" For Covrig Nets Him a Double

Lionel Lacolas and Sergiu Covrig were heads-up on a flop of Q♠Q♣3♥ when Lacolas bet 16,000 from middle position. Covrig called on the button to the 4♠ turn.

Lacolas then asked Covrig how much he had behind before sticking in a tower of chips. Covrig snap-called for his last 35,000 and showed Q♦10♣ for trip queens. Lacolas turned over 5♣5♠.

The river was the 7♦ and Covrig earned a double up. "Good flop," Lacolas told him, giving him a thumbs up as the pot was pushed in his direction.

Despite taking that hit, Lacolas is still sitting on one of the largest stacks in the room.

Christopher Wood, in the big blind, checked the action over to Joseph Grossman on the button. Grossman bet out 5,500 and Wood made the call.

The K♣ turn checked through to the 7♥ on the river. Wood checked once more and Grossman bet out 14,000. Wood thought for some time before flicking in the call. Grossman conceded the pot as he tabled J♥10♥. In response, Wood showed 6♠6♦ for a huge hero call.

The flop came Q♠K♠3♠ and both players checked.

Corbelli lead out for 3,500 on the 6♥ turn and Guay made the call.

The Canadian bet 11,500 after Corbelli checked the 5♠ river. It was instantly called, and Corbelli delivered the bad news to his opponent, showing the K♥J♠ for a flush - Guay mucked.
