Kalifa Spikes the Flop, Santos Hits One-Outer on the Turn

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Samuel Kalifa was all in for 27,000 from early position and was called by Angelos Pettas in middle position before Jordan Santos shoved for around 40,000. Pettas called to put both opponents at risk.

Santos had woken up with aces and was poised to scoop the pot until the J76 flop gave Kalifa a set. The turn, though, brought the A and Santos hit the last ace in the deck to move back in front.

The river came the 7 and both Kalifa and Santos took out their phones and snapped photos of the board before Kalifa made his exit.

Lacolas Puts in a Massive Turn Shove

Lionel Lacolas and Josef Schusteritsch, both sporting massive stacks, went heads-up to the J710 flop where Lacolas led out for 20,000 from early position.

Schusteritsch called in the cutoff as the 9 fell on the turn. Lacolas then grabbed a tower of his chips and announced he was all in, covering Schusteritsch's remaining 250,000.

Schusteritsch went into the tank for several minutes before Lacolas called the clock. Schusteritsch folded his cards before a tournament official arrived and Lacolas dragged in the pot to move past 400,000.

Mohammed Bekheira made it 9,000 from under the gun. Pietro Robbiani raised to 20,000 in the hijack and was called.

The flop came 483 and was checked by Bekheira. Robbiani bet 30,000, but was left visibly frustrated when Bekheira shoved over the top with the Algerian having him covered.

'Pocket threes, pocket fours?' Robbiani asked Bekheira, but the Italian got no response and laid down his hand.
