Grafton Chips Up

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Sam Grafton

Action was three ways with what looked like around 100,000 in the pot and a full board of 410A65.

Play had checked to Eros Calderone, who fired 40,000 from middle position. Sam Grafton called from the big blind and Quan Zhou went into the tank from the next seat over. After a few minutes of thought, Zhou tossed in the chips to call.

Calderone turned over 107 for a flopped pair of tens, but Grafton showed 65 for two pair. Zhou shook his head and mucked the losing hand and Grafton dragged the pot.

Meanwhile, Tom Vogelsang and Boris Kolev have joined the tournament while Renat Bohdanov and Maher Nouira have hit the rail.

Orpaz Proving Unstoppable

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Tom Orpaz
Tom Orpaz

Tom Orpaz increased his chip lead to more than 900,000 by recently busting two players.

According to Orpaz, Renat Bohdanov raised to 8,000 from under the gun and Orpaz called in the small blind with A4. The flop came 5x3x2x with two hears, giving Orpaz the straight, and he raised to 18,000 after Bohdanov bet 6,000.

Bohdanov raised to 43,000, Orpaz moved all in, and Bohdanov called for around 100,000 with two fives for a flopped set. The board ran out Q7 and Orpaz sent him to the rail.

Orpaz busted Nicolas Chouity at this table a few hands earlier with two kings.

"I was reading the updates yesterday and wondered why you kept getting mentioned," tablemate Daniel Rezaei joked with him afterward.

Benitez Shoves on Ogita

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Francisco Benitez bet 10,000 from early position on a flop of Q510 and Daisuke Ogita called in the big blind.

The turn came the 6 and Ogita led out for 16,000. Benitez immediately came back with an all-in shove for 54,000.

Ogita tanked for nearly a minute before mucking as Benitez, the defending champion of this event, took down the pot.

Rezaei Decides Not to Play For It All

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Heads-up on a board of 10Q97, Keith Lehr bet 10,000 from the cutoff and Daniel Rezaei called in the big blind.

The river came the 10 and Rezaei checked over to Lehr again, who this time flicked out a 25,000 chip.

"Come on Daniel. Play for it all," Lehr said as Rezaei tanked for a moment. Rezaei let out a big laugh before tossing his cards into the middle.

Lehr took a deep breath as he dragged in the pot. "It looked like you were about to call," he told Rezaei while showing the A.

"I was about to call," Rezaei replied.

Duarte Felts Nincevic

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Just before blinds went up, Eros Calderone raised to 6,000 from late position before Mathias Duarte called from the next seat over. Mladen Nincevic came along from the small blind and Sam Grafton called from the big blind.

The flop was 2J5 and action checked to Duarte for a bet of 12,000. Nincevic thought for a moment and raised to 30,000, which sent Grafton and Calderone out of the pot. Duarte called and the turn was 4.

Nincevic quickly shoved the turn for around 63,000 and Duarte gave it a moment of thought before he called with more. Duarte showed the AJ for a pair of jacks, which was good enough to beat Nincevic's QJ and send him to the rail.
