Cherkashin Hits the Turn For a Double

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 9310, Andrei Cherkashin bet 5,000 from the cutoff and Kuljinder Sidhu called in middle position.

The turn came the 10 and Cherkashin bet another 18,000. Sidhu then slid forward a bet of 80,000, enough to put Cherkashin all in, and Cherkashin called for his last 66,000.

Sidhu had QQ, but Cherkashin had pulled ahead on the turn with A10 for trips. The river came the 2 and Cherkashin doubled up.

The unmistakable voice of Ren Lin was heard above the din of the room as he took his seat at this table while the hand was in progress.

"My man, you are dangerous," Lin told Cherkashin.
