Lucarini Takes it With Turn Bet

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pedro Pereira Fonseca raised to 23,000 and Alexis Lucarini called. The flop came {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Fonseca checked and Lucarini bet 40,000. Fonseca called.

The turn came the {3-Hearts}. Fonseca checked again and this time Lucarini pushed across 100,000 chips. This proved too much for Fonseca, who folded his hand.

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Guilbert Takes a Bad Beat Before Dinner Break

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Alexandros Kolonias opened to 22,000 under the gun, then Johan Guilbert three-bet to 58,000 two seats to his left. Kolonias only took a few seconds to consider, then moved all in. Guilbert snapped the trap and the hands were tabled:

Johan Guilbert: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Alexandros Kolonias: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Guilbert had his opponent dominated and in bad shape, but the board was not cooperative. Kolonias picked up some chop outs on the {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, then the {9-Hearts} on the turn gave him the lead and was a knife to the heart of Guilbert. Only a king on the river would save him, but the {q-Hearts} fell instead.

Kolonias chipped up to 787,000 just before dinner while Guilbert headed for the payout desk to collect €16,200 for his 78th place finish.

Atmaca Triples Up and Start of Day 3 Chip Leader Sabishchenko Eliminated

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Rostyslav Sabishchenko
Rostyslav Sabishchenko

Ercan Atmaca shoved from early position for 109,000, which was just over 10 big blinds. Rostyslav Sabishchenko reshoved from the button for 175,000. Andreas Klatt called in the big blind and three players flipped their cards for the all in.

Ercan Atmaca: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Rostyslav Sabishchenko: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Andreas Klatt: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Atmaca had already stood up from his chair ready to leave when he hit the second queen on the river to give him trips. He scooped a huge pot and in the process eliminated Sabishchenko, who was the chip leader at the start of Day 3.
