Chidwick Forces Out Ferreira

Level 6 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 7,000 in early position and was called by Rui Ferreira and Jules Dickerson in the blinds. The flop came {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Chidwick continued with a bet of 6,000 which only Ferreira called.

The {a-Spades} paired the board on the turn and Ferreira checked again. Chidwick tossed in another bet of 9,000 and Ferreira check-raised to 30,000. Chidwick called and the {q-Diamonds} completed the board.

Ferreira checked once more and Chidwick announced all in. Ferreira wasted little time before sending his cards to the muck.

Pardo Back in the Mix, Quickly Doubles His Stack

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A big pot of just under 200,000 was spotted between Juan Pardo, who had recently reentered, and Orpen Kisacikoglu.

The board was completed and showing {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Kisacikoglu had bet the flop from the small blind, then called a raise from Pardo in middle position. He then check-called a bet of 45,000 on the turn to get to this point.

Kisacikoglu checked the river and Pardo bet 131,000, leaving a single red T-500 chip behind. After using all three of his remaining time banks, Kisacikoglu called to see Pardo's {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for trip nines and the winner, as Pardo now has two starting stacks, while Kisacikoglu sits with less than 100,000 chips.

Watson Defeats Ketzer in the Blinds

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The action folded around to Mike Watson in the small blind who made it 11,500 to go. Felipe Ketzer called from the big blind and they went heads-up to a flop of {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Watson led out with a bet of 15,000 on the flop and Ketzer called. The {10-Spades} landed on the turn and Watson check-called a bet of 11,000 from Ketzer.

The {6-Hearts} paired the board on the river and both players quickly tapped the table. Watson turned over {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for trip sixes and Ketzer couldn't beat it.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and Holz now bet 75,000. Heath responded by placing a stack of green and yellow T-25,000 chips forward to put Holz all in for his last 114,500 if he called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, and action was checked to Garagnani, who bet 8,000. Only Kuznetsov called to see the {2-Spades} fall on the turn.

The players both checked, but on the river {3-Diamonds}, it was Kuznetsov leading for 10,000.

Galen Hall
Galen Hall

A completed board of {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} was spread across the felt with around 60,000 in the middle. Kayhan Mokri led out with a bet of 15,500 in the cutoff and Galen Hall raised to 90,000 on the button.

Mokri used a time bank and then shoved all in, putting Hall to the test for his stack of 180,000. Hall flew back in his chair with his eyes rolled back in his head as he flung in his remaining chips. Mokri tabled {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair, or as they say, "full house blockers", while Hall held {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for trip queens to double up.

Pardo's Stack is Shrinking

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Juan Pardo
Juan Pardo

Bruno Volkmann and Juan Pardo had built a pot of approximately 140,000 by the river with a completed board of {2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Volkmann was in the small blind and he put forward a river bet of 31,500, which drew a bit of a smirk from Pardo.

The Spaniard mulled his options, using three time banks before landing on a call.

Volkmann showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, aces and fours which was enough to send Pardo's hand into the muck.
