Grafton Fails to Spin It Up

Level 13 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

The action folded around to Sam Grafton on the button who pushed all in for around 150,000. Ben Heath reraised from the small blind to force Gregoire Auzoux out of the big blind.

Sam Grafton: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Ben Heath: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} to give both players a pair, Heath's being the better of the two. The {7-Clubs} on the turn got Grafton slightly excited. "Bingo, bango, bongo!" he cheered, but the {j-Spades} on the river spelled the end for the PokerStars ambassador.

O'Dwyer Bets Big in Blind Battle

Level 13 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer limped his small blind and Alex Kulev checked his big blind before the duo saw a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

O'Dwyer led for 37,000 and got a call from Kulev.

Despite the potential for a big pot, the betting ceased after that point as they each checked the {3-Hearts}{10-Hearts} runout, with O'Dwyer turning over {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a flopped two pair which held up as the winner.

Heath Gets a Full Bang for His Buck

Level 13 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Just before the break, Ben Heath and Nikita Kuznetsov were heads-up on the turn with the board reading {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and a little over 200,000 in the middle. Kuznetsov checked from the big blind and Heath made a bet of 165,000 on the button. Kuznetsov called and the {5-Diamonds} completed the board.

Kuznetsov checked again and Heath shipped all in for 717,000. Kuznetsov dipped hard into the tank, using all of his remaining time banks as some of the players left for their break. With his last seconds being counted down, Kuznetsov finally threw in a chip to call.

Heath rolled over {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for top two pair and Kuznetsov sent his cards flying into the muck. Heath scored a massive double up to become one of the chip leaders in the tournament.

Dvoress Decides to Stick It In

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress limped in from the hijack and Sirzat Hissou raised to 32,000 in the cutoff. Chris Brewer reraised to 105,000 in the small blind and Dvoress used up two of his time banks before deciding to stick in his last 104,000 chips. Hissou opted to fold and the two remaining hands were tabled.

Daniel Dvoress: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Chris Brewer: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

"Same hand," Hissou said pointing to Brewer's hand. That didn't stop Brewer from flopping the best hand on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop. Dvoress picked up some life on the {6-Hearts} turn but the {k-Spades} on the river ended his tournament.

Watson Eliminated

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

With a pot of almost 300,000 in the middle on a turn board of {j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Jules Dickerson checked from the big blind and Mike Watson bet 75,000. Dickerson called to see a river card.

That river came with the {10-Clubs} and Dickerson again checked. Watson now moved 275,000 of his remaining 276,000 chips forward, leaving a single chip behind.

Dickerson called with neither he nor the dealer realizing Watson had the chip behind.

As no verbal announcement of "all-in" was made, Watson was allowed to keep the one chip, which would be all he had left after Dickerson revealed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a rivered two pair which stole the pot away from Watson who showed {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the better pair of jacks until that river.

On the following hand, Watson got his last chip in with {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} versus Sirzat Hissou who held {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and with no help, Watson's day was done.

Pardo Takes Out Mulder

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Teun Mulder
Teun Mulder

Juan Pardo raised to 25,000 from under the gun and was called by Joao Vieira a couple of seats over. Teun Mulder was in the big blind and shipped all in for 250,000. Pardo asked for a count but just called while Vieira got out of the way.

Teun Mulder: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Juan Pardo: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Mulder was unable to hit that coveted ace in order to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Two Eliminations Lead to Final Three Tables

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Conor Beresford and Galen Hall were both just eliminated, leaving 24 remaining players.

A random table has just been broken as opposed to a complete redraw, leaving just three tables in play.

Once the field is thinned to 16 players, again a random table will be broken, with a full redraw not taking place until the final table.

Yaroshevskyy Runs Out of Chips

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer opened to 27,000 under the gun and Dimitar Danchev three-bet to 75,000 in the cutoff. Igor Yaroshevskyy four-bet shoved all in for 168,000 in the big blind which got O'Dwyer to fold but Danchev quickly called.

Igor Yaroshevskyy: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Dimitar Danchev: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Yaroshevskyy was unable to find any help as he bowed out of the tournament.
