Murtezi Starts the Day with a Double KO

Andres Korn opened to 3,500 from middle position before Bekim Murtezi three-bet to 10,000 from the hijack. Sandor Hadnagy cold-called out of the big blind and Korn also stuck around.

Murtezi continued for 12,000 on the A♠10♥9♥ flop. Hadnagy then moved all-in for 33,500 before Korn rejammed for around 60,000. Murtezi snap-called as the bigger stack and the cards were tabled.

On one of the first hands of the day, Pablo Aranovich moved all in from the big blind and Fahredin Mustafov snap-called on the button.

Mustafov had woken up with aces as Aranovich couldn't connect with the 7♦8♦3♦6♦2♥ board. The stacks were counted down and Mustafov had 51,500 remaining, while Aranovich was covered by just 1,500 and sent to an early Day 2 exit.

Three players had their chips in the middle preflop, with two of them at risk as short stacks.

Richard Stewart moved all in with a short stack from late position and Sven Stok called in the big blind. Players flipped their cards, with Stewart at risk.

The board ran out Q♦10♠K♠K♥4♠ and Stok paired his queen on the flop, making two pair with the kings on board. He won the pot and Stewart was eliminated.

Flush Kils Pagano

Action was on the flop on a board of 5♠3♠8♦ and Luca Pagano led out from under the gun for 2,500 with 8♠8♣. Michael Kil raised to 8,500 with A♠2♠ and Pagano called.

The turn came the 9♠ to complete Kil's flush. Pagano bet 12,500 and Kil called.

The river was the 4♣ and Pagano shoved all in with his set of eights. Kil had nothing left to do other than make the call with the nuts and Pagano was eliminated from the tournament.

Yaghmai Downs Two

Nariman Yaghmai opened to 3,000 from the cutoff and was called by Tristan Bain from the button. Patrick Gaonach moved all in for 27,000 from the big blind. Yaghmai dropped a stack of T-5,000 chips into the middle to signify a raise and Bain called off his stack of around 50,000.

Frederik Brink raised to 3,000 in early position before Venelin Pashev three-bet to 8,500 in the cutoff. Brink then moved all in for 35,000 and Pashev snap-called.

"Professional Gambling" as Lin Eliminates Oerum

Following an early position raise to 3,500, Ren Lin three-bet to 10,000 from the button. Christian Oerum then four-bet to 34,000 from the big blind.

The original raiser folded, but Lin wasn't ready to.

"You gamble that much? Okay, all in," said Lin as he then moved in with Oerum's roughly 110,000 slightly covered.

Oerum thought briefly, prompting a comment by Lin of " Oh, no snap-call! You try to bluff me?" followed by "Nice fold, nice fold".

Oerum though didn't fold as he decided to call, setting up a sizeable flip.

The following hand, Gabriel Cunha opened to 3,000 from early position. Jesse Lonis called from the cutoff. Schwippert and Fabiano Da Costa came along from the blinds.

Three checks put the action on Lonis and he bet 6,000 on the 8♥5♣4♣ flop. Schwippert made it 16,000, folding out Da Costa and Cunha. Lonis thought for a moment before calling.

On the 7♦ turn, Schwippert moved all in as the bigger stack. Lonis had between 40,000 and 50,000 and quickly called for his tournament life.

Lonis had an eight-high straight while Schwippert had outs to the flush.

The A♣ river saw Lonis leave his chair as his opponent got there.

"I deserve it, nice hand," said Lonis.

Spragg, who'd been chatting away from the table, appeared shocked at Lonis leaving.

"I leave you alone for two minutes buddy," said a stunned Spragg. The duo exchanged a handshake before Lonis left the tournament room.
