Sorainen Comes From Behind For the Knockout

Luka Sorainen raised to 5,500 under the gun, Darius Gadeikis moved all in for 28,000 in the big blind, and Sorainen called.

Gadeikis had Sorainen dominated and was poised for the double up, but the flop brought AAJ to give Sorainen the lead with two pair. The turn was the 4, while the J river improved Sorainen to a full house and sent Gadeikis to the rail.

Farah Shows the Bluff in Four-Bet Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Richard Trigg raised to 5,500 in the cutoff before Elie Farah three-bet to 16,500 on the button. David Hu then four-bet to 36,000 in the big blind, and only Farah called.

The flop came KQ5 and Hu checked to Farah, who bet 19,000. Hu quickly folded, and Farah tossed A8 into the middle of the table as he raked in the pot.

Ullereng Takes A Huge Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Players were already heads up with Diego Montone in the hijack and Mats Ullereng in the big blind.

The pot stood at around 120,000 and players were on the river. The board read 9Q1035 and Ullereng had jammed for his remaining 74,000.

Action was back on Montone, who went into the tank. He took a few minutes before deciding to muck his cards, and Ullereng picked up a huge pot.

Wolf Rivers a Flush

With about 15,000 already in the middle and the board showing 107JA, Fabian Wolf checked from the small blind over to Fabio Muhr in the cutoff. Muhr placed a bet of 14,500, and Wolf took his time before making the call.

The 8 landed on the river, and Wolf paused again before checking. Muhr quickly checked behind, and the two headed to a showdown. Wolf revealed A6 for a rivered flush, comfortably strong enough to claim the pot.

Salerno Takes It Down

Elia Salerno opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 5,000, and the table folded around to Paraskevas Tsokaridis in the big blind. He took his time before making the call.

The flop came KK8. Tsokaridis checked, and Salerno continued for 3,500. After a long pause, Tsokaridis responded with a raise to 10,500. Salerno made the call, and both players checked the 5 turn.

The river brought the 3, and Tsokaridis checked again. Salerno fired 26,000, and Tsokaridis quickly released his hand, giving the pot to Salerno.

The PokerStars European Poker Tour once again made its annual winter stop in the Czech capital as 1,224 players took their shot at the EPT Prague Main Event title.

There were 872 unique players representing 62 countries. Italy was most represented, with 79 players making up more than nine percent of the field. France (60 players, 7%) and Germany (54, 6%) came next, with Israel and the United Kingdom also comprising more than five percent of the field.

The event features a €5,936,400 prize pool, with the top 183 players making the money. A min-cash is worth €8,350, while the EPT Prague champion will take home €1,019,300.

PokerStars Live League Heats Up

Just EPT Prague and PokerStars Open Cannes remain, not just for Docherty to overtake Steinn Thanh Du Karlsson at the top of the Low tier, but also there are winners to be crowned in the Medium and High tiers as well.

Akenhead Makes the Right Call

Vitaliy Kryza opened to 5,500 from the cutoff and saw Xiaowen Zhao call on the button and James Akenhead defend the big blind.

The players went three-ways to the 7K6 flop and Akenhead checked. Kryza bet 10,000 which saw Zhao fold and Akenhead call.

A 4 was turned, and both players checked to the 9 river.

Akenhead check-called a 22,000 bet from Kryza and showed 87 for a pair of sevens. Kryza was behind and flipped over his 43 with bottom pair.

Ivanov Takes from Rodriguez

With the board reading 2345 and around 40,000 in the middle, Daniel Rodriguez checked from under the gun and Lyudmil Ivanov bet 20,000 from the button. Rodriguez called.

Rodriguez checked again on the K river, and Ivanov shoved for around 60,000. Rodriguez folded, and Ivanov took the pot without showdown.

Sakalauskas Takes Down a Modest Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Elia Salerno raised to 5,000 with the rest of the table folding around to Modestas Sakalauskas in the big blind, who made the call.

The flop was 39J, which Sakalauskas checked while Salerno would flick in 3,500. Sakalauskas called and the two players went to the turn.

The turn was the 6, which both players checked. The dealer then flipped the J on the river, which was again checked by both players.

Sakalauskas tabled 34, and his bottom pair was good enough as Salerno mucked.
