Toma Hits the River to Send Out Djenkal

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Gael Djenkal
Gael Djenkal

Just as players were going off on break, Gael Djenkal had opened to 40,000 under the gun before Tsugunari Toma three-bet to 115,000 in the cutoff. Djenkal called, and they saw a flop of 1046.

Toma then bet 100,000, and Djenkal came back with a raise to 250,000. Toma called, and the 6 fell on the turn.

Djenkal checked over to Toma, who bet another 110,000. Djenkal just called this time to see the J river, where Toma bet enough to put him all in.

Djenkal burned through several time banks and tanked for nearly seven minutes into the break before calling for his last 150,000. Toma then showed AJ for a rivered pair. "Nice river," Djenkal said as he mucked A10 and headed off to the exit.

Sterba Unfazed by De La Fouchardiere's Aggression

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Hugo De La Fouchardiere checked a 33K flop from under the gun. Jakub Sterba then bet 70,000 in the next seat over, which De La Fouchardiere raised to 175,000.

Sterba slid in a tower of chips for a call, prompting the J turn to appear. De La Fouchardiere reverted to checking, prompting Sterba to move all in for 420,000.

De La Fouchardiere had been caught making a move, as he snap-folded his hand to Sterba's jam.

Abreu Gets Value From Zizka, Gets Shoved on by Coppola

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Zdenek Zizka bet 165,000 from the button on a flop of 265 and Jorge Abreu called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 6 turn, and Abreu then led out for 125,000 on the 5 river. Zizka called, and Abreu showed 77 to win the pot.

The next hand, Enrico Coppola bet 35,000 from the button on a flop of KK4 before Abreu raised to 115,000 in the small blind. Coppola called.

Abreu bet another 180,000 on the J turn, and Coppola again called. The river was the 9 and Abreu checked over to Coppola, who moved all in for 695,000.

"You have a king and a jack. Impossible that you're bluffing," Abreu said as he folded. Coppola told him he had a king, but returned his cards face down without showing.

Moran Loses Final Chips; Ruijs Gets Thin Value

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Daniel Moran
Daniel Moran

Daniel Moran tossed in his last 25,000 under the gun. Enrico Coppola and Jorge Abreu called in the hijack and cutoff, respectively, and Thierry Gogniat and Laurent Vauquelin did so in the blinds.

The 1096 was checked by all, but Gogniat bet 20,000 on the 8 turn. Vauquelin mucked before Coppola's raise to 150,000 folded out the rest of the players as well.

Daniel Moran: K6 All in
Enrico Coppola: QJ

Coppola had turned the nuts, leaving Moran drawing dead. The A river was rendered meaningless as Moran had already said his goodbyes.

At another table, Casimir Seire in the small blind, Paul Runcan in the hijack, and Joris Ruijs in the cutoff checked through the 1024 flop.

It once again checked to Ruijs on the 10 turn, prompting him to fire a bet of 80,000. Seire called before Runcan got out of the way.

The 6 river was quickly checked to showdown, where Ruijs' 55 bested the 54 of Seire.
