Felix Schneiders raised to 200,000 under the gun, Julien Mariani moved all in for 900,000 in the small blind, and Schneiders quickly called.
Julien Mariani: A♠7♠
Felix Schneiders: 10♣10♦
Amidst competing calls of "ace" and "hold" from their respective rails, the board ran out K♦Q♥5♥3♥5♠ to keep Schneiders in the lead with his tens and send Mariani to the rail in eleventh place.
Tomas Jozonis was first to act and opened to 200,000. Mitch Garshofsky called in the small blind, and Sami Bechahed defended his big blind.
The 8♥5♥A♥ flop was checked to Jozonis, who continued with a bet of 175,000. Garshofsky just called before Bechahed moved out of the way.
Both players then checked the 9♣ turn, and the J♣ was subsequently put on the table as the river. Garshofsky fired a bet of 500,000, which Jozonis reluctantly called.
Garshofsky tabled 5♠5♣ for bottom set, but Jozonis had made a straight with Q♦10♦ to be awarded the sizable pot and leave Garshofsky short.
Nazar Buhaiov raised to 225,000 under the gun and Mihai Tabac called in the big blind.
The flop came A♦6♠5♥ and Buhaiov bet 100,000. Tabac used a time bank before raising to 400,000, and Buhaiov quickly moved all in. Tabac had around 200,000 remaining and stuck in the rest of his chips.
Mihai Tabac: 6♥4♥
Nazar Buhaiov: A♠7♠
Tabac needed help against Buhaiov's pair of aces as his rail began chanting for a four. The Q♣ turn was no help, while the river came the 9♠ to seal his elimination in 12th place.
"Are these mine?" Enrico Coppola joked about Tabac's time bank cards left on the table.
Tomas Jozonis raised to 200,000 in middle position with Q♠J♥, seeing Jorge Abreu call on the button with 5♣4♣. Both players knuckled the table on the 6♠J♦A♥ flop, and Jozonis checked again on the 10♦ turn.
Abreu fired a bet of 350,000, which Jozonis called. Jozonis checked a third time on the 2♠ river, prompting Abreu to size up to 900,000.
Jozonis pondered his options, but eventually let go of the best hand as Abreu got his five-high bluff through.
Jorge Abreu made it 160,000 to go in middle position and quickly called when Jessica Teusl put her stack of 810,000 all-in from the big blind.
Jessica Teusl: 10♠10♥
Jorge Abreu: J♠J♦
Teusl had a dominated pair. She needed to find a ten to stay in the Main Event, but the deck had none in store on the K♠8♣K♦6♦2♦ runout, sending the last lady standing to the rail in 13th place.
Mihai Tabac raised to 160,000 in middle position. Felix Schneiders called in the big blind to take the pot heads up to the 9♣3♣Q♣ flop.
Tabac continued for 80,000, but Schneiders put in a huge check-raise to 420,000. Tabac needed some time to call, after which the 10♦ turn hit the felt.
Schneiders quickly moved all in, covering Tabac's stack. Tabac went into the tank again, but eventually found a fold to leave himself with 15 big blinds.
Felix Schneiders raised to 160,000 in the hijack and Enrico Coppola called in the cutoff. Tomas Jozonis then moved all in from the big blind and Schneiders folded, but Coppola snap-called for 1,395,000.
Enrico Coppola: 6♠6♣
Tomas Jozonis: A♠J♠
Coppola stood up from his seat to await the flop, which came 5♥3♣2♣ to give him a straight draw. The 6♥ fell on the turn to improve Coppola to a set, and the J♦ river arrived too late for Jozonis to avoid handing over the double up.
The cameras that surrounded the table during this hand began to dissipate after Coppola stacked up the chips, but they quickly came back as Joris Ruijs opened the next hand to 160,000. Mihai Tabac then three-bet to 430,000 in the cutoff, and Ruijs moved all in.
Tabac, with around 1,700,000 remaining, took about 30 seconds before folding.
Sami Bechahed raised to 160,000 under the gun, and Jorge Abreu called on the button. Thierry Gogniat then squeezed in a three-bet to 485,000 from the small blind, which Bechahed clicked back to 925,000.
Abreu quickly moved out of the way by folding 8♠7♠, but Gogniat five-bet shoved. Bechahed immediately called to put his 3,485,000 chips at risk.
The Q♥J♠6♦ flop brought outs for Gogniat, but his straight draw did not come in on the 2♣ turn. The A♠ river upgraded Bechahed to a set to take the pot and double up in style, capturing the chip lead at the table and becoming one of the biggest stacks in the field
It folded to Jessica Teusl in the small blind, who moved all in. She covered big blind Casimir Seire, who quickly called off his stack of 1,280,000.
Casimir Seire: J♥J♦
Jessica Teusl: K♠10♠
Teusl paired her ten on the 9♠8♦10♣ flop, but received no further help on the 4♦ turn or 8♥ river. Seire won the pot, doubling up and leaving Teusl short-stacked.
