Steindl Doubles Up Johnny Lodden

Johnny Lodden
Johnny Lodden
Johannes Steindl made it 3,000 to go from the cutoff position and Johnny Lodden opted to see the flop, along with an unknown player in the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades} and the big blind checked to Steindl who led out with a 7,500 bet. After some considerable thought, Lodden re-popped it, making it 20,000 to go. The big blind folded and Steindl then put Lodden all in; Lodden called immediately, tabling {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Steindl showed {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}.

The {3-Spades} on the turn gave Steindl additional outs to a flush, but the {J-Clubs} sealed the hand for Lodden, who doubled through to right around 40,000.

Casper Hansen is running quite well today, with no signs of slowing down. Moments ago Hansen knocked Chris Smith out of the tournament, spiking a third six to go with the two in his hand to overcome Smith's pocket kings.

With the win, Hansen has retaken the chip lead with well over 160,000 in chips.

Ian {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Noah {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

A {3-Hearts} on the flop and the 2006 irish Open runner up Ian Woodley is eliminated. Noah remarked "I did not want fold in case you had AK.."

Daan Ruiter Rollercoaster!

Daan Ruiter's chip stack has gone up and own like a rollercoater in the last few hands.

First he raised 3,000 pre-flop and Josh Gould moved all in over the top for 20,300. Ruiter asked for a count and ultimately made the call. He was very glad he did as Gould turned over {A-Spades}{10-Spades}, Ruiter had him outpipped with the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and they both paired their kickers resulting in Gould's elimination.

A couple of hands later he was in a pot with Casper Hansen. There was 20,000 in the pot by the turn. The board read {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Hansen bet 10,000 which Ruiter called. The river was the {Q-Clubs} and Ruiter check called a 23,000 bet and mucked when Hansen showed {J-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Daan Ruiter is now down to 12,000
