Danut First Player to 100,000 Chips

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante
Radu Danut
Radu Danut

Looking around the GUKPT Coventry Main Event field, one player's stack appears to be towering above others with Radu Danut's seemingly the first player above the 100,000 in chips mark.

The Romanian has over $400,000 in live cashes, the majority of that coming in 2018 with two runner-up finishes in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. According to his Hendon Mob, he's never cashed a tournament in England. Will GUKPT Coventry seem him break that duck?

Ahmed Gets Tripped Up

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

The full board of {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} was out between Danish Ahmed and another opponent who bet 4,300 out of the big blind into a pot approaching 12,000.

Ahmed took his time before calling, but mucked when his opponent showed {4-Spades}{6-Spades} for trip sixes, which was good enough to take down the pot.

Hynam's Shove Gets Through

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante

With 6,000 in the middle, Mitchell Hynam bet 2,000 from the small blind on {2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Michal Czeszel called on the button.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Hynam continued for 5,300. Czeszel called again.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Hynam shoved for 9,000. Czeszel looked pained as he contemplated his decision, but eventually folded and Hynam took down the pot.

Three Barrels From Xie

Renee Xie
Renee Xie

With 6,000 chips in the middle already, Renee Xie bet 2,600 out of the blinds on a {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop and was called by Oliver Hutchins.

The turn was the {k-Spades} and Xie bet 6,700. Again, Hutchins called.

The river was the {4-Hearts}. Xie moved all in for 14,100 and Hutchins immediately asked for a count. He went into the tank and had the clock called on him, but he ultimately folded.

Bedson Eliminated; Danut New Big Stack

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante

On a {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} board, Radu Danut had moved all in with Daniel Bedson forced to make a decision.

Bedson had around 14,000 in chips behind and eventually called all in for his tournament life with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} However, Danut had him beat with {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The river was the {a-Spades} and Bedson got to his feet and left the tournament area.

Jones Reads Watsons Hand to Perfection

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante
Wendy Watson
Wendy Watson

Five players saw a flop of {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} and it checked to Wendy Watson who bet 1,500. She got three callers including Donald Jones, who was first to act on the {q-Spades} turn. He checked and Watson bet 5,000.

The two other players folded and action was back on Jones.

"Big bet," he mused. "I don't think I'm able to fold a flush draw here. Did you flop a pair and a flush draw?"

He continued to mull it over before eventually folding.

"Show me how big," he said, with Watson turning over {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush, having flopped a pair and a flush draw.
