Action folded around to Nick Syrigos on the button, who elected to raise to 800. The small blind called, as did Brad Smith in the big blind.
The three saw a flop of 
, both blinds checked, and Syrigos continued for 1,000. The small blind quickly folded, and Smith thought for a moment before check-raising to 2,800. Syrigos rose up from his seat to eye Smith's stack—about 24,000 behind, which Smith had way covered—before tossing in the call.
Smith continued for 4,600 on the 
turn, and Syrigos thought for a minute before calling.
When the 
river rolled off, Smith checked, and Syrigos bet 10,000. Smith counted out his remaining 19,000 and mucked fairly quickly.
