Reid then led out for 300,000 on the 2♠ river, and Mamut called. Reid showed 10♣4♣ for two pair, and Mamut folded.

Reid opened to 650,000 on the button the next hand and Mamut called. The flop came Q♣Q♥4♦ and Reid bet 400,000. Mamut quickly folded.

Nikolai Mamut limped in from the button before Terrance Reid raised to 1,000,000. Mamut called to the 9♠6♦8♦ flop, then quickly folded when Reid continued for 800,000.

Reid then limped the button and Mamut checked. The flop came 2♥8♦4♣ and Reid bet 350,000. Mamut called and they both checked the J♣ turn.

Mamut led out for 400,000 on the Q♠ river and Reid called. Mamut showed 8♥6♦ for a pair of eights, and Reid mucked.

Terrance Reid raised to 600,000 on the button and Nikolai Mamut called in the big blind. The flop came 7♣6♥4♣ and Mamut check-called a bet of 700,000 from Reid.

The turn was the 5♠ and Mamut led out with a bet of 650,000. Reid quickly folded and Mamut was awarded the pot.

A couple of hands later, Reid made it 600,000 on the button again and Mamut called. The flop fell Q♣8♣5♥ and both players checked to the 7♥ on the turn. Mamut led out with a bet of 850,000 and Reid dumped his cards into the muck.

In a limped pot, Nikolai Mamut bet 250,000 from the button on a flop of J♠8♦6♦ and Terrance Reid raised to 900,000. Mamut called and the 2♥ fell on the turn.

Reid then bet 1,700,000, and Mamut again called. The river was the 3♥ and Reid slowed down and checked. Mamut checked back, and Reid turned over 10♦3♦ for a missed flush draw and rivered pair of threes. Mamut showed K♦8♥ for a pair of eights to win the pot.

"Would be a lot more interesting if I don't hit the three," Reid said.

"I definitely wouldn't have liked another bet," Mamut replied.

The flop came Q♦J♦10♦ and Mamut bet 250,000. Reid called and the 5♥ fell on the turn. Mamut then bet 950,000, and Reid again called.

The river was the A♥ and Mamut bet 1,500,000. Reid went deep into the tank, considering the decision for a few minutes. He eventually called, and Mamut showed 5♦3♠ for a pair of fives. Reid turned over 10♣5♠ for two pair to win the big pot as Jeff Platt let out a clap from Reid's rail.

"That one hurt him a little," Reid said.

In the opening stages of the heads-up battle, it has mostly been the button coming in with a raise and picking up the pot with a continuation bet on the flop. Once again, Terrance Reid opened to 600,000 on the button and Nikolai Mamut just called in the big blind.

The flop came Q♥J♠6♦ and both players checked to the 3♦ on the turn and the 4♥ on the river. Mamut led out with a large bet of 1,100,000 on the river and Reid looked him up. Mamut turned over Q♣3♣ for two pair and took down one of the first pots from the big blind.
