Abu Gazal Pressures Moreno

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Ezra Abu Gazal raised it up from the cutoff and Andrew Moreno defended from the big blind. The flop came QJ4 and Moreno check-called a bet of 30,000 from Abu Gazal.

The turn was the 9 and Moreno checked again. Abu Gazal fired out another bet of 60,000 and Moreno stuck around for the 9 on the river. Moreno checked for the third time and Abu Gazal dropped in a third bet of 85,000. Moreno briefly deliberated but dumped his cards into the muck.

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Robert Van Hoose raised to 30,000 on the button before Jeff Madsen moved all in for 205,000 in the small blind. Tristan Wade then reshoved in the big blind, and Van Hoose folded.

Jeff Madsen: AJ All in
Tristan Wade: AK

Madsen was dominated and at risk going to the flop, but he hit top pair on J510 to take the lead. The rest of the board ran out 74 and Madsen doubled up off Wade yet again.

"I'm giving you all big chips this time," Wade joked with him.

Tang Misses Out on Another Opportunity, Sacha Finishes Off Yankowski

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Matthew Yankowski moved all in for 190,000 in the hijack and John Sacha reshoved for 315,000 in the small blind. Yifan Tang was in the big blind and took a few minutes, but he eventually got out of the way and left Sacha heads-up with Yankowski.

Matthew Yankowski: AJ All in
John Sacha: AK

Yankowski found himself dominated, and the 84555 board offered no help as Sacha's king-kicker continued to play to earn him the knockout. Tang later admitted he folded a pocket pair and would've won the hand to knock out both opponents.

Star-Studded Field Returns for Final Day of $1,100 PS Open Main Event

Stephen Song

There will be 43 players returning to the felt for the third and final day of the $1,100 PS Open Main Event, all with their sights on taking down the title. The 2025 PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas, being held at Resorts World Las Vegas, is a marquee stop for many poker enthusiasts and the stars came to play over the first couple of days.

A field of 947 entries, which created a whopping prizepool of $909,120, has been whittled down to just 43 hopefuls who will be looking to get their hands on a prestigious PokerStars Spadie along with the first-place prize of $158,700. Each player has already locked up at least $3,050 but the lion's share of the prizepool still remains to be decided.

The remaining field is littered with familiar names for this buy-in level and the accomplishments among them would put Santa's list to shame. Some of the big stacks include Aaron Massey, Dan Sepiol, Jack Hardcastle, Jim Collopy, and the man who seems to win "everything", Stephen Song. Topping them all as the returning chip leader is Terrance Reid, who balances his life between playing on the felt and in the poker media business.

Looking further down the leaderboard, the likes of Tristan Wade, Michael Rossitto, Andrew Moreno, and Toby Lewis will have a tougher challenge on their hands when the action gets underway. Still, with such a deep structure, it is impossible to count any of these professionals out.

The cards are scheduled to go in the air at 12 p.m. local time, resuming on level 21 with the blinds at 10,000/15,000 and a 15,000 big blind ante. The levels will continue to be 60 minutes in length until the final table is reached, at which point a predetermined number of hands will be played in each level. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels along with a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to bring you all of the action so stay tuned to find out who will come out on top in this opening event at the 2025 NAPT Las Vegas. For the Day 3 seat draw, please refer to the PokerStars Live app.
