Akbarpoor Turns the Nuts to Double

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Abdullah Akbarpoor bet 17,000 from the cutoff on a board of 8263 before Frank Lagodich raised to 44,000 in middle position. Akbarpoor immediately moved all in for 117,000, and Lagodich called.

Akbarpoor slammed down 54 for the nut straight, and Lagodich was already drawing dead holding 1010. The river was the K and Akbarpoor doubled up.

Cardoso Flips Kislinskii to the Rail

Mrityunjay Jha was one of the short stacks that managed to survive the bubble so it wasn't going to take long for him to get his stack in the middle. David Coleman raised to 8,000 in early position and was called by Peter Cross in the hijack. Jha also tagged along from the big blind.

The flop fell AQ8 and the action checked around to the 9 on the turn. Jha ripped all in for his last 10,000 and was called by Coleman.
