Muller Calls Down All Three

Level 6 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Muller is clearly not happy with the situation
Muller is clearly not happy with the situation

Facing a raise to 22,000 from middle position, Jorg Muller makes the call from the small blind, with the big blind coming along as well. Muller checks the {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Spades} flop, with the big blind donk-leading for 22,000. The original raiser in middle position made the call, with Muller chucking in the chips to call behind.

The dealer burned and turned the {8-Diamonds}, with Muller checking again. The big blind continues for 28,500, with both players calling, as they saw a {7-Diamonds} river three ways. Muller checked a third time, with the big blind betting again, this time to the tune of 30,000. The player in middle position quickly called, while Muller was clearly not as happy with the situation. After dwelling for a minute, he decided he was just getting such a good price and put in the call.

The big blind confidently showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, although it turned out he had the worst hand. The original raiser turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, but that still wasn't quite good enough, as Muller tabled his {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

King Folds the Turn

Level 6 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The flop showed {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and a bet of 33,000 was in front of Andrew King on the button. His sole opponent SEPPL006 made it 56,500 and the {4-Hearts} as turn card was accidentally exposed. Floor was called and it was just deemed as a call and the turn card was reshuffled to bring the {2-Spades} instead. SEPPL006 bet 130,000 and King folded.

"I was finished, I had flopped the straight," SEPPL006 said while King dropped a few chips.

Dietrich In Action

Level 7 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Moritz Dietrich raised to 25,000 two hands in a row. In the first hand he claimed the blinds and antes, before picking up a single caller from one seat over in the second hand. Dietrich bet the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop for 30,000 and his opponent called. The {Q-Diamonds} turn and {8-Hearts} river were checked through and Dietrich announced ten-high before flashing {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}, while his opponent claimed the pot with {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a busted gutshot and rivered two pair.

Bad Flop For Jonathan Wong

Level 7 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Benjamin Benoit limped from under the gun and Jonathan Wong sat to his left raised. The player in the big blind called and Benoit put in the extra.

The flop was {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades} and a check from the big blind saw Benoit lead out for 30,000. Wong called and it was heads up to the turn card {4-Clubs}.

Benoit check-called a bet of 80,000 from Wong and the river was the {j-Spades}. Benoit checked and a slight grimace from Wong then saw him check behind.

Benoit tabled {9-Spades}{7-Spades} and Wong showed the winning {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a frustratingly small pot.

Updated Counts in Level 7

Level 7 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The penultimate level is underway and without break, the T-500 chips are raced off in between the hands. Bagging will take place at the end of level eight and a time window of just 15 minutes remains before Day 2 kicks off after.

Aleksandar Tomovic Shoots Down Another Hapless Victim

Level 7 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

A series of raises against Aleksandar Tomovic saw his opponent move all in for around 600,000 and Tomovic called.

His opponent tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} with a fair degree of confidence. That pretty much evaporated as Tomovic tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Tomovic felted one more.

There is little argument over who will be finishing on top in the turbo with just 20 minutes left in this last level.

Pfister Busts van Wesemael

Level 7 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sander van Wesemael had around 270,000 left at the start of the hand and was in the big blind on his new table. The Dutchman defended against a raise by Marcel Pfister and got his stack in with {J-}{10-} on a flop of {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Pfister quickly called with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and the {4-Spades} turn and {3-Hearts} river were both blanks to eliminate van Wesemael.
