Bicknell and Peters Sent to the Rail

Level 14 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

Christopher Kruk and Keith Lehr were the two big stacks at the table and they butted heads in a pot with over 1,000,000 chips in the middle preflop. The flop came {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Kruk check-called a bet of 515,000 from Lehr. The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {k-Clubs} on the river. Two more checks and Kruk showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} while Lehr tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

While Kruk and Lehr were in the middle of their hand, Kristen Bicknell was seen leaving her seat. Even though Bicknell won't be making the money in this event, she has bagged a monster stack in the Main Event where she will look to turn things around.

Just a couple of tables over, there was a raise to 125,000 and Sam Soverel flat-called on the button. David Peters was in the big blind and moved all in for 1,115,000. The initial raiser folded but Soverel called to put Peters at risk. Soverel turned over {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and was flipping against the {a-Spades}{10-Spades} of Peters. The board ran out {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Soverel's set of sevens sent Peters to the rail.

It's a Heavy Table!

Level 14 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

While Matt Berkey once held a huge chip lead over the rest of the field, he was quickly caught by a few players and they all seemed to flock towards his chip stack. Players like Mike Watson, Sam Greenwood, and Michael Addamo all recently joined the same table and they brought hefty stacks with them.

Addamo currently holds the largest stack at the table with nearly 10,000,000 followed by Mike Watson with just under 8,000,000. Berkey slipped down to 7,800,000 and Sam Greenwood holds 7,500,000. Between those four players, they currently hold 666 blinds which looks awfully intimidating to the other players. A couple players who won't be bothered are Erik Seidel and Benjamin Pollak who are currently sitting with below-average chip stacks and have some work to do.

However, the chip lead belongs to Steve O'Dwyer who has spun up a massive stack of over 10,000,000 chips. He is currently the only player to reach the seven-figure mark thus far and he is closely followed by Chance Kornuth. The players are about to head on a 15-minute break with 122 still remaining.

Big Pot Poker Leads to Plenty of Eliminations

Level 15 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The field has been dropping at quite a rapid pace and it's the result of a lot of big pots being played across the tournament floor. [Removed:150] was near the top of the leaderboard at one point in time but he clashed in a monster hand with Nick Petrangelo. The American came out on top, eliminating Iadisernia and raking in a pot that vaulted him over 11,000,000 chips. Michael Addamo just joined the table with a healthy 13,000,000 and should be interesting to see how things develop.

Ema Zajmovic was up to her old tricks again in a hand with Joey Weissman. On a board reading {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Zajmovic check-called a bet of 360,000 from Joey Weissman. The {10-Diamonds} on the river double-paired the board and Zajmovic moved all in for 925,000 effective. Weissman went into the tank for well over two minutes with his tournament life on the line but ultimately laid down his hand.

Some other big names to drop recently include John Racener, Matt Stout, Bryn Kenney, and partypoker pro Anatoly Filatov. There are just 110 players remaining heading into level 16 with the blinds moving to 35,000/70,000 and a 70,000 big blind ante.

Prizepool & Payouts

Level 16 : 35,000/70,000, 70,000 ante

The numbers have been finalized and prizepool and payouts have been posted. With the tournament falling just six players short of what it hoped for, there will be $10,000,000 up for grabs. A total of 39 places will be paid with a min-cash being worth $60,000 and the winner taking home $2,000,000. The top three spots will each be a seven-figure payday and you can find all of the payouts via the 'Payout' tab.

Last Break of the Night

Level 16 : 35,000/70,000, 70,000 ante

The final 91 players are about to head on their last 15-minute break of the night. Nick Petrangelo has recently moved into the chip lead with over 13,000,000 chips and partypoker pro Joao Simao is not far behind after having a couple of good levels himself. Simao bagged up one of the biggest stacks in Day 1a of the Main Event and is looking to do the same in the Super High Roller.

Unfortunately for Sam Greenwood, things took a turn for the worst when he collided with Steve O'Dwyer. On a flop of {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Sam Greenwood check-called a bet of 210,000 from O'Dwyer and the {4-Clubs} landed on the turn. Greenwood quickly checked again and O'Dwyer fired another 560,000. Greenwood still called and the {8-Spades} completed the board. Greenwood checked one more time and O'Dwyer moved all in which prompted a quick fold from Greenwood.

Along with Greenwood, Alex Lynskey and Laszlo Bujtas had a couple of rough levels and have fallen to some of the shorter stacks in the room. They have some work ahead of them if they want to find a bag at the end of the night.

Checking Up on Team partypoker

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Joni Jouhkimainen
Joni Jouhkimainen

Joni Jouhkimainen has found himself seated with many of his partypoker teammates throughout much of the day and he is once again seated at the same table as Roberto Romanello. Unlike the other times, Jouhkimainen found somebody else to clash with in the likes of Edward Lin this time. Jouhkimainen opened to 200,000 from the hijack and Lin three-bet to 750,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Jouhkimainen who made the call.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Jouhkimainen check-called a bet of 650,000 from Lin before the {10-Clubs} landed on the turn. Jouhkimainen checked again and Lin fired another 1,500,000. Jouhkimainen still called and the {8-Hearts} completed the board. Jouhkimainen checked, Lin announced all in, and Jouhkimainen snap-called for around 3,600,000. Lin turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Jouhkimainen showed the same hand with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to chop a huge pot.

As for the other partypoker pros, Joao Simao is leading the way with 9,300,000. Jason Koon had a profitable time on the live stream as he is sitting with just under 5,000,000. Roberto Romanello, Isaac Haxton, and Philipp Gruissem are also still holding to short stacks. Unfortunately, Mike Sexton, Sam Trickett, Marcel Luske, and Barny Boatman have all been eliminated.
