Dinner Time!

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Players are now on a 40-minute dinner break. Players can still late-register for the tournament or re-enter until the end of the break, provided they haven't already done so.

There will be six more levels of play when players return from break before the surviving players bag and tag their chips.

Quick Fold For Marc Radgen

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Graham Masters opened the action for 900 from the cutoff and got a call from Marc Radgen on the button and Eoghan Byrne in the big blind.

The flop was {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and checks from Byrne and Masters saw Radgen bet 2,000. Byrne called and Masters let it go.

The turn card {k-Diamonds} was checked around and on the river {10-Hearts}, Byrne changed tack and led out for 5,000.

“That’s a big bet,” Radgen said and then quickly mucked.

“In this spot you've got to fold quickly.”

Gallagher Cracks O'Reilly's Aces

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

John O'Reilly was just one of the day's latest casualties. With the pot already around 8,000 chips on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, O'Reilly led out for 5,550. A player to his left tanked and folded before Thomas Gallagher quickly declared himself all in for over 30,000, which had O'Reilly's stack of around 15,000 chips covered.

O'Reilly called with {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and began to get out of his seat when he saw that he was well behind Gallagher's {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a set. O'Reilly's fate was sealed and he hit the rail after the {8-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and the {2-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Timothy O’Connor opened and then faced a three-bet to 3,500 from James O’Connor.

Timothy O’Connor: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
James O’Connor: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

No ace from space for Timothy, and he was on his way out.

Conroy in the Chip Lead

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

There are a few big stacks around the room, however, none bigger than that of John Conroy's stack of 70,000.

In a recent hand, he led out on the river for 5,550 on a three-diamond jack-high board holding {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the nut flush and got a call from Keith McIerny, who quickly mucked his hand when he saw Conroy's.

Conroy speculated that McIerny was holding ace-jack for top pair. McIerny shook his head no and while laughing said, "You don't want to know what I had."

Taxi For Paul Carr

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Paul Carr
Paul Carr

Paul Carr raised on the button to 800 and Alex T in the small blind bumped it up to 2,800. The big blind folded but Carr put out the calling chips.

The flop was {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Alex T led out for 2,000. Carr called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Alex T bet 6,000. Carr again called, leaving himself around 12,000 chips.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and Alex T moved all in. Carr thought for a long time before eventually deciding to call.

Alex T showed him {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Carr flashed his {j-Hearts} before surrendering the last of his chips.

At other tables, Barry Scollard and Noel O'Leary were also felted.

Siusa's Kings Cracked by O'Sullivan

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Patricia O'Sullivan
Patricia O'Sullivan

Lithuania's Lukas Siusa, who qualified for the tournament via a live satellite, got it all in preflop with pocket kings against fellow live satellite qualifier Patricia O'Sullivan from Ireland, who held ace-jack.

An ace appeared on the flop to give O'Sullivan the lead in the hand. Siusa was eliminated after his hand was unable to improve on the turn and river.

Two Irish players were eliminated around the same time on other tables. They were live satellite qualifier Deirmaid Butler and online satellite qualifier Paul Purcell.
