Tilly Checks Behind With Best Hand

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in middle position opened to 650 and received three callers: Jennifer Tilly, Humberto Brenes and Melanie Weisner.

The flop fell {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}, Tilly bet 1,500 and both Weisner and the original raiser called. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and this time the initial raiser led for 3,825. Tilly raised to 11,000, Weisner released and the original bettor called.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and the initial raiser checked to Tilly who immediately checked behind and rolled over {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a jack-high flush. Her opponent folded and Tilly is back up to 130,000 chips.

Kuerten Playing Hard

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Three players saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Spades} with about 5,000 in the pot. The small blind was first to act and checked, prompting the big blind to bet 3,400. Brazilian tennis star Gustavo Kuerten smooth-called from the cutoff as the small blind got out of the way.

The big blind continued to fire, this time to the tune of 6,025, when the {9-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Kuerten once again called as the dealer put out the {5-Diamonds} on the river. The big blind slowly bet 7,000 only to have Kuerten quickly move all in for around 19,000 more. The big blind tanked for a solid three minutes before giving up the hand. Kuerten is up to around 60,000.

Arieh Doubles Through Senti

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

We caught the hand as the dealer was counting out the chips. From what we gathered, Josh Arieh was all in for his last 6,000 or so with {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} laid out in front of him. Jason Senti had {9-}{9-} in front of him and the board read {8-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-}. By our math, Arieh doubled through Senti for a new stack of 12,000. Meanwhile, Senti took a small hit down to 42,000.
