Boeree Takes a Hit

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Just before the end of the level, Sirzat Hissou raised on the button and was called by PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree in the big blind. The flop came {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Boeree check-raised from 2,300 to 6,200. Hissou made it 20,000 in total and Boeree called.

The {Q-Clubs} turn slowed down the action and both checked, as they did for the {5-Hearts} river. Hissou tabled {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a straight and that won the pot.

Toktabayev Takes Both Hilsercop and Glaser Out

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Timur Toktabayev is sitting on a pretty big stack after having eliminated both Jeremy Hilsercop and Benny Glaser in two separate hands.

Hilsercop had opened from the cutoff, Kevin Mathers three-bet from the button and Toktabayev jammed in the big blind. Hilsercop called for his last 25,000 or so and Mathers got out of their way. Hilsercop held {8-}{8-} while Toktabayev stayed ahead with the {q-}{q-}.

A few hands later, Glaser lost it all when Toktabayev shoved in the big blind on the {j-}{7-}{2-} rainbow flop. Glaser asked if Toktabayev had queens again which Toktabayev confirmed. Glaser still made the call having made a pair of jacks. Toktabayev held {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and the overpair held to eliminate Glaser too.

Apostol Pays Off Koonce

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Bill Perkins raised to 900 in middle position and was called by Tyson Apostol just a couple of seats over. Jason Koonce three-bet to 3,400 in the cutoff and the action was back on Perkins who called along with Apostol.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Perkins began with a check followed by a bet of 6,500 from Apostol. Koonce just called while Perkins laid his hand down. The turn brought the {a-Hearts} and both remaining players checked.

The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Apostol checked again. Koonce stuck in a bet of 9,000 and Apostol paid him off. Koonce tabled {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Apostol sent his cards to the muck.
