Foxen Falls to Kings

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

Alex Foxen and Brent Roberts got into a raising battle preflop with Foxen in the hijack and Roberts on the button. With nearly 20,000 in the middle already, the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Foxen led out for 5,800 and Roberts made the call.

The turn brought the {3-Clubs} and Foxen slowed down with a check. Roberts checked back and the {j-Hearts} completed the board. Foxen checked again and Roberts quickly checked as well. Foxen quickly tabled his cards but then flipped them into the muck after Roberts showed {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Harder Over Bohlman

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

Scott Bohlman checked from middle position on a {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop and Christian Harder bet 2,000 from the button. Bohlman made it 7,000 and Harder came along, but both checked the {a-Diamonds}. The river was a {9-Diamonds} and Bohlman checked. Harder bet 7,000 and Bohlman thought a couple of minutes before dropping in a call.

Harder turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and won with trips.

Apostol Doesn't Believe Lin

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

The board read {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} with almost 16,000 in the middle already.

Tyson Apostol had checked from mid-position and I-Cheng Lin bet 9,000 from the hijack. Apostol thought about it for a minute or so, cut out calling chips, and then made the call. Lin tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for the flopped top pair but was bested by Apostol who held {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for the rivered set of deuces to scoop the pot.

Talbot Shoves on Stokkan

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

Preben Stokkan bet 11,000 into about 15,000 from the small blind on {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Parker Talbot called from under the gun. On the {7-Hearts} river, Stokkan checked and Talbot moved all in for 35,000. Stokkan tanked long enough for someone to call a clock before folding at the five-second mark.

Mercier Takes From Addamo

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

Joining the action on the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, Jason Mercier checked in the small blind and Michael Addamo made it 2,300 to go from middle position. Mercier called and the {9-Diamonds} turn brought no betting action. On the {3-Hearts} river, Mercier checked again and Addamo bet 9,000.

What followed was a check-raise by Mercier to 28,200 and Addamo was sent into the think tank for almost three minutes. The Aussie, who capped off a stellar 2018 by winning two WSOP bracelets, then sent his cards into the muck. Below are assorted counts from notables on the same table.
