Chiciak Pressures Konnikova

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Maria Konnikova
Maria Konnikova

Maria Konnikova raised to 5,000 from middle position and Lukas Chiciak was the lone caller from the button.

The flop was {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Konnikova check-called a bet of 6,000 from Chiciak. The turn was {9-Hearts}.

Both players checked the turn and {8-Clubs} came on the river. Konnikova fired 10,000 before Chiciak raised to 34,000. It was too much and she tossed her cards in the muck to give Chiciak the pot.

Schaeffer Picks Up Cowboys; Lloyd Takes a Small One

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action folded to Eric Schaeffer in the cutoff who opened for 8,000 and both Donald Lloyd on the button and Ehsan Amiri in the big blind called.

On the flop of {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} Amiri checked to Schaeffer who continued for a large sizing of 25,000. Lloyd quickly folded and Amiri took some time before eventually doing the same.

"Show aces," said some tablemates to Schaeffer.

"I'm not getting out of line, see I had it," said Schaeffer who tabled {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the second-best starting hand.

On the next hand, Lloyd opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and only Amiri made the call in the small blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Amiri checked, and Lloyd came with a hefty size of 20,000, which was enough to fold out Amiri and take down the pot.

Blake Anderson opened to 6,000 from under the gun and it folded around to Luc Lafontaine in the big blind who made the call.

The flop fanned out {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Lafontaine check-called a bet of 6,000 from Anderson. On the {j-Spades} turn both players slowed down with a check to the {q-Spades} river.

Lafontaine cut out chips and slid forward a bet of 16,500. Anderson took some time, but in the end, made the fold and the pot was sent to the Canadian.

Amiri Triples Up; Lloyd Wins Big Side Pot

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Donald Lloyd opened to 6,500 from under the gun and it folded to Ehsan Amiri in middle position, who moved all in for 21,000. Florian Fuchs moved all in on the button for more than 100,000, covering the remaining players in the hand. Lloyd went in the tank, but after close to 30 seconds, made the call for his last 98,000.

Ehsan Amiri: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Donald Lloyd: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Florian Fuchs: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and the ace-king for Amiri scored the main pot for a full triple-up. Lloyd took the large side pot with ace-queen to leave Fuchs on a short stack.
