Players are now on a 75-minute dinner break. There are currently 79 players remaining and the action will resume at approximately 10:25 p.m. local time.
Martin Johnstone raised to 6,500 from middle position and Ethan Yau called from the next seat over. Action folded around to Benjamin Spragg in the big blind, and he tossed in the chips to call.
The flop was and all three players checked to see on the turn.
Spragg fired 6,500 on the turn and Johnstone folded before Yau called.
The river was . Spragg fired 21,000 and Yau went into the tank. After several moments of thought, he shook his head and tossed his hand away.
"Why don't you set something up like that for streaming live poker?" Ethan "Rampage" Yau asked Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg in reference to one of the few stationary cameras that have been set up by players to film the live action.
"I can't be bothered. I tried it, but it's too much hassle," Spragg, the popular Twitch streamer, replied. "Live poker is my vacation. I'm hoping that I can just appear on the five or six other poker vlogs that are here right now."
Meanwhile, Justas Semaska raised to 6,000 from the cutoff before Martin Johnstone made it 16,000 from the button. Not to be outdone, Yau shoved from the small blind for around 105,000. Both players tossed their hands in the muck and Yau took the pot.
Despite getting away from this one, Johnstone has gone on a tear in recent levels and he's making his way towards the 400,000 mark.
Satish Surapaneni opened to 6,000 from middle position and Mekhail Mekhail called from the cutoff. Katie Lindsay three-bet from the small blind to 30,000 and only Mekhail made the call.
The flop came and both players checked their options to the turn. Lindsay took some time before betting 30,000 and Mekhail went in the tank. After close to 30 seconds of thought, and dancing along to his music, Mekhail let his cards go and the pot was sent to Lindsay.
Ricardo Mateo called from the small blind and Iliodoros Kamatakis asked how much he had left from the big blind. After learning that Mateo had around 40,000, Kamatakis checked his option.
The flop was and Mateo checked. Kamatakis fired 3,000 and Mateo check-raised to 9,000.
"You win this one," Kamatakis said as he tossed his cards in the muck.
"I got lucky," Mateo replied as he turned over for the top pair of queens.
Meanwhile, Elliot Smith has picked up another chunk of chips and he has made his way closer to the 500,000 mark.
In a heads-up pot of 13,500 on a flop showing , Alexandre Raymond checked from the big blind to Sebastian Gahl in the cutoff who bet out 3,000. Raymond put in a check-raise to 8,500, and without much thought, Gahl made the call.
The hit the turn and Raymond kept up the aggression with a bet of 13,500, which Gahl again called. The completed the board and Raymond decided on a check over to Gahl who slid forward a bet of 40,000. Raymond called as soon as the bet passed the line and the cards were shown.
Gahl tabled for flopped trips but it was no good when Raymond opened for a better kicker to take down the sizable pot.
