The 30 remaining Day 1C players are on their first 10-minute break of the day.
There have been more new arrivals, with Macau’s Chin Weng Lai, Hong Kong’s Fung Lin, Thailand’s Phachara Wongwichit and China’s Guangli Liu and Guangrui Meng all signing up and taking their seats.
Meng, sitting in the big blind in this particular hand, wasted no time getting into the thick of the action, calling a Soo Young Kim middle position raise of 450 to take the action heads-up to a flop of .
Meng checked the action over to Kim, who continuation bet another 450, which was quickly called to keep the action heads-up to the turn. This pattern of events repeated with Meng check-calling once more, though Kim’s raise was a little larger this time, with the Korean firing for 800.
The river brought in a possible backdoor heart flush and now Meng reached for chips, leading out for 3,400. Kim folded extremely quickly and Meng won his first pot of the day, climbing to 16,700 while Kim dropped to 13,300.

We caught the tail end of a hand between Singapore’s Ong Jun Yi and Malaysia’s Junzhong Loo with close to 2,700 in blinds and bets already in the middle with the community cards spread [.
We arrived just as Loo checked the action over to Yi, who fired out a bet of 1,800. Loo reached for chips, but not for calling with and flicked in a raise, making it 6,200 to go in total.
Yi looked a little taken aback at this turn (or should we say river…) of events and chewed over the decision before eventually electing to call. Loo rolled over for the rivered nut gutshot Broadway straight and Yi threw his cards into the muck. Loo climbed to 25,100 after than timely catch while Yi dropped to 8,900.

Wingkei Chan opened the action with a raise to 300 from under-the-gun and picked up three callers with Ho Yin Tai (middle position), Ka Meng Ho (button) and the big blind all coming along for the ride.
The flop was checked around to Ho on the button, and he fired for 1,200, which was enough to take down the hand. Ho climbed to 16,000 while Chan dropped to 16,200 – which is still more than he began the day with.

There have been a slew of new arrivals with Tin Lam Wong, Chun Ming Lee, Ka Meng Ho, Wei Tso, Bing Wang and Jun Zhong Loo all signing up to bring the number of entries up to 21, spread over three tables.
By far the most accomplished of all these new arrivals is Malaysia’s Junzhong Loo, who is the field’s sole World Series bracelet winner. Loo took down the 2014 WSOP Asia Pacific A$2,200 event for a cool US$94,019 payday and is a regular face here in Macau.

The field has now grown to 17 players with the arrival of Joshua Zimmerman, Tsunchi Yu, Percy Chao and his better half Christina Lai.
However, it was Hong Kong’s Yu Fai Wu and fellow countryman Chow Hung Ching who we caught in action in this particular hand. It was Wu who was the initial aggressor, opening the action to 350 from early position with Francesco Vitali (button) and Ching (big blind) both making the call to take the action three-way to a flop of .
Ching checked the action over to Wu, who continuation bet 600 and while this was enough to deter Vitali, Ching made the call and the hit the turn, completing a possible straight.
Ching now led for 600 and Wu made a quick call to bring in the river. This doesn’t look like it changed anything and Ching continued to sell a believable story, leading out for 2,000.
This was enough to get Wu to give it up and he folded to drop down to 13,900 leaving Ching free to rake in the pot and climb to 16,600.
