Bernard: a chop is better than nothing!
Alfred Grech raised it up to 3,500 from middle position preflop, only to find PokerNews reporter James Bernard call from the button and Jamie Glazier make up the difference in the small blind.
It was three-way action into a flop of ; Grech led out for 8,000, Bernard flat-called and Glazier got out of the way as the turn came down .
Grech moved the last of his stack into the middle and Bernard snap-called.

Bernard was well ahead with his set against Grech's overpair, but the spiked on the river to complete a straight on the board and chop the pot!

Gowen: gets some chips off Jeffreys
Clonie Gowen has doubled up to 64,000 courtesy of Andrew Jeffreys after getting her money into the middle preflop holding , finding herself ahead of Jeffreys' .
The flop of gave Jeffreys a few more outs but Gowen sealed the deal with the turn bringing the for the nut flush.
The river completed the board; Jeffreys slips back to 62,000.
A couple of well-watered spectators came by feature table 31 and proceeded to talk loudly and joke around, much to the amusement of Billy Seri and Karl Krautschneider.
The other players looked over and were none too pleased with the disruption, so the dealer sternly hushed them and they quickly departed for another round at the Vegas Bar.
With so many big names coming in for Day 2 of the PokerNews Cup Main Event, it's of no surprise that there have been some stellar lineups that have formed around the tables in the Crown Poker Room.
Jie Gao, Trung Tran, Billy Seri and Karl Krautschneider are sharing space on feature table 31, while Chris Chronis is on table 29 with Bruce Nguyen, Todor Kondevski, Steve Bouya and Nick Haidaris.
Table 32 will also be a challenge for any newcomers with Emad Tahtouh, Julian Powell and current overall chipleader Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis.
However there are sure to be some fireworks coming from table 50, which features Michael 'TheBigSiCko' Guzzardi, Joe Cabret, Scott Kerr, Angela Connell and Sammy Khouiss!
Another short stack has failed to double up as Danny Chevalier has joined the rail. Stephen Donlon opened to 5,000 before Chevalier moved all in. Donlon made the call.

The board ran out and Donlon's pair holds to eliminate Chevalier from the tournament.
Ozzie Yildiz had a rough end to the day last night and didn't particularly want to return today as a short stack. He had shoved the last four hands in the dark last night, but received no callers and found himself having to come back today with a meager 10,600 in chips.
His adventures today lasted all of one hand as he pushed all in preflop with pocket threes and the big blind woke up with pocket kings. The board bricked out and Yildiz was sent home early.
