MacIntyre Takes from Wilson

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After a min-raise to 1,600 at the end of the last level, Fraser MacIntyre called and Daniel Wilson three-bet to 5,400 from one seat over. The initial raiser folded and MacIntyre called. On the {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop both players checked. MacIntyre bet the {3-Hearts} turn for 3,800 and was called before making it another 4,800 to go on the {6-Spades} river.

Wilson reluctantly called and was shown {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for trips. "It is heading into the right direction," MacIntyre added while stacking the chips.

Alon Busts One; Miranda Wins Flip

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Raz Alon
Raz Alon

The action continues to rise and Javier Zarco was among those to fall. He lost a flip for the starting stack with {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} of Fabio Miranda, as the Portuguese spiked a king on the board {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Zarco was left with around 7,000 and those vanished soon after.

Raz Alon avoided a big setback when his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} cracked {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}, the board came {Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

Rodrigo Strong is nowhere to be found either, he has been replaced by the always smiling Scotsman Fraser MacIntyre.

Buonomo Busts; Sow Doesn't

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

The seat that formerly belonged to Sebastien Buonomo is now occupied by another player and the Frenchman has been eliminated. Another one is thriving though and that is Kalidou Sow.

Sow faced an opponent's shove for 20,300 on the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} river and eventually called. The player at risk shook his head and turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}, Sow had that beat with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

The tournament screens show 166 entries, of which 130 remain, but the final number for the turbo flight are yet to be officially confirmed. Either way, nobody can get into the tournament anymore and the total number is sure to smash any attendance record of the Hippodrome Casino and the former UKIPT.

Hikosaka Busts Zaffran

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

On the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, Jean Paul Zaffran got his last 12,000 in with the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Keisuke Hikosaka looked him up with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. The {9-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river failed to improve the Frenchman and Zaffran was eliminated.

Sapiano Busts One to Stack Piles

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

The board was already complete, showing {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}, and the player in the small blind bet 12,000. Albert Sapiano moved all in and his opponent immediately sighed, leaned back and groaned. Ultimately, he could not find a fold and called all in for 27,000.

Sapiano turned over {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for trips and his opponent mucked the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.
