Boatman, Louis and Givens all Gone

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Barny Boatman, Leon Louis and Will Givens have been eliminated while Kalidou Sow took another hit to his stack.

Louis lost his stack with pocket fours against the {J-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} of Chris Moorman while Givens reshoved after the all in of Daniel Wilson. The American asked the dealer for no sweat and turned over his {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Wilson had {K-Spades}{J-Spades} and the table erupted when the flop fell {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Givens took out his smartphone to film the rest of the hand, and saw the board complete with the {Q-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river.

Wilson made his flush and Givens had just 18,000 left, those chips were gone soon after.

Sow bet a flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for 4,500 and the small blind check-raised all in for 36,800 with the {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for two pair. Sow called with {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the gutshot straight flush draw, and the {Q-Diamonds} turn and {A-Clubs} river bricked.

Cakmak Loses a Flip

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Emrah Cakmak raised from early position and an opponent moved all in for 34,800. Cakmak took the flip with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for one third of his stack and the opponent showed {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The board came {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Kalidou Sow said in French "gotta win the flip."

Down to 90 players, the average is around 55,000 and Cakmak still has more than that.

O'Brien and Breviglieri Among Casualties

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Alexandra O'Brien and Natalia Breviglieri shared a table and both are no longer in the tournament, as is Michel Chen who was being moved there. Some other notables are rather short and need to make a move in the remaining half an hour.

Sapiano Aint Happy

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Albert Sapiano raised to 3,600 and a short stack moved all in for 27,000. Sapiano called and the cards were tabled. The opponent had {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Sapiano was ahead with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. The player in the ten seat banged on the table when he saw the flop come {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, claiming he had folded ace-queen.

The {4-Diamonds} turn and {5-Clubs} river gave a straight on the board and the pot was chopped. Sapiano banged the table and said "fuck sake, why do you do that? Can't win a hand here. Can you send him back where he came from?" Sapiano was referring to the dealer, and the remark was towards the floorman next to the table. The dealer just smiled and headed to the next hand.

Updated Counts - Sow With Quads

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Kalidou Sow opened to 2,000 in the previous level and an opponent three-bet to 6,000, Sow made it 15,000 and was called. On the {J-}{J-}{10-} flop, Sow continued for 9,000 and was called before the opponent shoved the {9-} turn for 50,000 with pocket aces. Sow had jacks for quads ... .

Just now, Sow three-bet to 6,500 in the cutoff against Diego Gomez and the Spaniard simply four-bet shoved for 54,000 in the hijack. In table chat with Emrah Cakmak, Sow said he folded pocket nines.

Sow Finds another Premium; Sapiano Loses One

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Kalidou Sow has been graced with quite a few big pocket pairs and busted an opponent with pocket kings versus {A-}{9-} to arrive at the table of Emrah Cakmak with a ton of chips. The next premium would await when he check-called a bet of 3,000 on the {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} turn before the {5-Spades} river went check, check.

Sow showed {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, but this time it was no good - his opponent had {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for aces and tens.

Albert Sapiano also just suffered a setback and was cut back down to twice the starting stack. He bet the {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} turn for 11,500 and an opponent shoved for just 17,600. Sapiano called the few chips more with {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} and was shown {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The {J-Diamonds} river blanked and Sapiano added "I almost passed."

According to the screens, there are 110 players remaining, all in the main tournament area.

No Day 2 for Johnson

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Quite short, High Roller champion Joe Johnson pushed from the button with {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the small blind looked him up with {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The board came {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and that sent Johnson to the rail.

The biggest stack at that table is Emrah Cakmak, who won the WPT National in Paris back in 2014 after defeating Erwann Pecheux heads up.
