Three Nguyens began the day and the High Roller is now down to one. The unfortunate Nguyen this time was Van Sang Nguyen who became involved in a raising war with Sathesh Muthu.
Nguyen, sitting in the small blind, was the man to pull the trigger first getting his 65,000 stack in as a five-bet shove from under-the-gun. Muthu called immediately and the cards were turned over.
Sathesh Muthu:
Van Sang Nguyen:

Alan Lau will have to re-enter in order to rack up important points for the 2017 Asia Poker Player of the Year ranking, as he just joined the rail.
Tom Orpaz in the meanwhile got involved in two hands with Ken Okada, winning the first one and losing the smaller second one. Orpaz's bet of 15,000 on the was called by Okada, who then sighed as soon as the player from Israel showed for a full house.
"Phew, I needed it one hundred percent. Did you have the queen or ten?" Or-Paz and Okada said in table chat he had a queen.
One hand later, Okada raised to 3,000 and Or-Paz called. The flop came and Okada check-raised all in. Or-Paz snap-folded after having bet 5,000 and Peter Plater jokingly added "you asked for it."

The start of the new level was rather chaotic, as Yo Seb Rhee was eliminated for the second time and bought back in for bullet number three. Simon Hermann was moved away to balance the tables, but soon found himself back at the very same table as yet another bustout required the next balancing.
Timofey Asmolov had sent Rhee to the rail to more than double his stack and got into a raising war with table neighbor Georges Georgiou on a flop of soon after. Asmolov check-raised from 3,800 to 10,400 and Georgiou moved all in on top of that. The squeeze was pulled in and Georgiou's shove was for another 47,800, which the Russian called.
Georges Georgiou:
Timofey Asmolov:
Both the turn and river were blanks and that was it for Georgiou.
Victor Chong also bought in for the first bullet and that bumped the field to 35 entries in total.

The 22 remaining high rollers are on their last 10-minute break of the day while the green 25 chips are raced off.
We caught the tail end of a sizable pot that played out between Timofey Asmolov and Jun Obara on a board reading .
With over 20,000 in blinds and antes in the pot already Asmolov led for 12,500 and while Obara looked keen the Japanese player burned through his last time bank chip before he decided to let it go, dropping to 72,000 while Asmolov, already on his second bullet, climbed to 65,000.
Over on table three, Konstantin Pogodin opened the action with a raise to 2,500 from middle position and Alan Lau re-raised from the cutoff to 6,500.
Action folded around to Hoang Long Do in the small blind, who pulled the trigger and moved all-in for over 40,000. Pogodin took the full 30-seconds but folded, as did Lau leaving Do free to scoop the pot and he climbed to 49,500.

Yo Seb Rhee was eliminated, re-entered and sat down next to Timofey Asmolov who also fired the second bullet. Another player that came with a fresh stack of 50,000 not long ago was Lester Edoc, and he just lost a decent portion of that in a three-way hand with Sathesh Kumar Muthu and Van Sang Nguyen.
Edoc raised to 2,500 and Muthu in the small blind as well as Nguyen in the big blind called. The flop came and the action checked to Edoc, who continued for 3,500. Muthu and Nguyen both called and the fell on the turn. Once again, it was checked to Edoc and his second barrel was worth 10,000.
While Muthu folded, Nguyen had other plans and moved all in. Edoc asked for his bet to be pulled in, and Nguyen was at risk for another 23,850 on top of that. After brief consideration, Edoc let go and Nguyen bumped his stack to more than what he started with.
