On the latest PokerNews Podcast episode of 2023, Chad Holloway and Connor Richards come to you straight from the 2023 PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold'em Championship (PSPC) in the Bahamas. First, they discuss the full schedule reveal of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) schedule, and then dive headfirst into all things PSPC and PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
That includes interviews with PCA champ Michel Dattani, Survivor all-star "Boston" Rob Mariano, Billions and Breaking Bad actor David Costabile, and Justin Bonomo, who had a big win to extend his lead atop poker's all-time money list.
They also chat about Nick Schulman replacing Gabe Kaplan on High Stakes Poker, the new Galfond Challenge between Phil Galfond and Dan "Jungleman" Cates, Perry Green's first tournament win in 35 years, and remember Julian Track and Jeff Fogel, who both, unfortunately, passed away.
Soukha Kachittavong opened to 2,000 from middle position and received a single call from the big blind.
The big blind checked to Kachittavong following the flop and he continued for 1,600. His opponent made the call to see a turn.
Both players checked through the turn to the river at which point the big blind took over the betting lead, pushing a hefty 6,800 into the middle. Kachittavong did not take long to make the call but mucked after his opponent turned over for turned trips.

A player opened to 2,000 from under the gun and was called by a player in early position, Jacob Hershey in middle position and John Kostelac one seat over. Action then folded to the button who moved all in for around 35,000. The blinds, under the gun and early position players all got out of the way as did Hershey. Kostelac opted to call off for his tournament life with the shorter stack.
John Kostelac:
Button Player:
Kostelac was at risk and behind but the flop did give him a flush draw. The turn also gave him some chop outs with the river improving him to a pair to scoop the pot and more than double his stack.

A player opened to 2,400 from under the gun and was called by Aaron Olshan on the button to generate heads-up action heading to the flop.
The under the gun player continued for 1,200 on a flop of and was called by Olshan.
The turn saw the under the gun player slow down, checking to Olshan who fired off 6,500. His opponent, with not that much behind, decided to call.
After the river completed the board, the under the gun player checked once again and then called off their remaining stack when Olshan moved all in. The under the gun player tabled but it was no good as Olshan held for the flush to send his opponent out of the tournament.
