Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jacob Hershey
Jacob Hershey

Daniel Sol opened on the button and Jacob Hershey moved all in for his last 300,000 out of the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Sol quickly called to put Hershey at risk.

Jacob Hershey: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Daniel Sol: {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Hershey was ahead and remained so on the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop and {7-Spades} turn. The {5-Diamonds} river, however, improved Sol to a flush to eliminate Hershey in 12th place.

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Gintautas Putinas
Gintautas Putinas

Picking up the action on the flop, Gintautas Putinas in the big blind was involved in a hand with Justin Liberto on the button. With the board reading {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} Liberto had Putinas all in and at risk.

Gintautas Putinas: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Justin Liberto: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

Putinas was pipped by Liberto's superior kicker and would need help to survive. Neither the {6-Spades} turn or {10-Clubs} river changed anything, sending Putinas to the rail in 13th place.

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Boris Kravets
Boris Kravets

Gintautas Putinas opened to 125,000 from early position and Boris Kravets moved all in from the cutoff. Action folded back around to Putinas who instantly called with the covering stack to put Kravets at risk.

Boris Kravets: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Gintautas Putinas: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Kravets was on the wrong end of a brutal cooler and would need significant help to survive. None came on the {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop with the {10-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river completing a clean runout for Putinas' pocket rockets to send Kravets out in 14th place.

John Alspaugh

Christopher Brown opened to 225,000 from early position before John Alspaugh moved the majority of his stack into the middle from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way to send the action back to Brown who moved all in. Alspaugh quickly called with the shorter stack.

John Alspaugh: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Christopher Brown: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Alspaugh would need to win a race to avoid elimination but could not hit one of his overcards on the {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} runout, sending him out of the tournament in 15th place.

Elia Ahmadian: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Hal Rotholz: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Ahmadian would need to win a coinflip to survive but was unable to do so as the board ran out {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} to keep the queens best and send Ahmdian to the rail in 17th place.

Hershey Makes Quads

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jacob Hershey opened to 80,000 from middle position and Elia Ahmadian three-bet to 200,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back around to Hershey who called to see a flop.

Hershey checked to Ahmadian following the {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and he continued for 125,000. After some thought, Hershey raised to 450,000. Ahmadian then announced he was all in and Hershey quickly called off with the effective stack.

Jacob Hershey: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Elia Ahmadian: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Hershey had outflopped the rockets of Ahmadian to put himself in a great position to secure a full double up. That is exactly what happened after the board ranout {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} to improve Hershey to quads, leaving Ahmadian desperately short with just 25,000. Ahmadian was able to spin that 25,000 up to 500,000 within the space of a couple hands so is not out of contention yet.
