Klistoff Can't Look as Toliver Fires Two Bullets

Monty Klistoff bet 10,000 from the big blind on a flop of QJ8 and Roger Toliver called under the gun.

Klistoff checked dark and covered his face with the collar of his shirt going to the K turn, and Toliver bet 20,000. Klistoff called and checked dark again, and Toliver then bet 60,000 on the 5 river. Klistoff uncovered his face for a quick look at the board, then called.

Toliver showed KQ for two pair, and Klistoff mucked K10.

Stevenson then moved all in for 85,000 on the A turn, and Ketterer again called. Stevenson showed A8 for two pair, while Ketterer had 77 for a pair and straight draw. The 6 fell on the river, and the birthday boy held on to earn another double up.

Phil Guillen raised to 11,000 under the gun and John Schroer called in early position, as did Damon Muehl on the button. Robert Severson then moved all in for 60,000 in the big blind and Guillen folded, while Schroer reshoved to chase away Muehl.

Severson was racing for his tournament life, and he hit a pair on the QJ3 flop to take the lead. The J turn improved him to trips, while the river was the 4 and Severson doubled up.

"You fold queens?" Bryan Engebretson asked Guillen.

"Ace-queen. I don't think I'm folding queens in that spot," Guillen replied.

Aoki Bests Leonard Flush Over Flush

Mikiyo Aoki and Rick Leonard went to the turn on a board of 387Q when Leonard bet 25,000 from early position. Aoki called in the hijack.

Leonard checked over to Aoki on the 5 river, and she bet 32,000. Leonard quickly called with KJ, but Aoki had AQ for the nut flush to win the pot.

Stevenson Gets an Early Birthday Gift

Paul Stevenson moved all in for 35,000 under the gun and Noah Borchard called in the hijack. Gabe Gaddis then reshoved for 70,000 in the big blind, and Borchard once again called to put both players at risk.

Gaddis was ahead with his tens until the flop brought A62, giving both Borchard and Stevenson top pair. The turn was the [9d and Borchard was poised for the double knockout, but Stevenson caught the 7 on the river to make a flush and triple up. Borchard took the side pot to send Gaddis to the rail.

"Is it really your birthday today?" Cole McFarland asked Stevenson.

"Yes it is. 47 today," Stevenson replied.
