Geer's Set Holds Up

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 5,000 ante

Dakota Geer bet 3,000 from the button on a flop of A4Q and was called by the small blind, Richard Hass under the gun, and another opponent in the cutoff.

Geer bet another 6,500 on the 10 turn, and only the small blind and Hass called this time. All three players checked the 6 river.

Geer showed 44 for a set. "Look at all the stuff I had," Hass said as he mucked K8, while the small blind also surrendered the pot to Geer.

Dean Spikes the River Amidst All In Madness

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 5,000 ante
Preston Dean

"Five-way all in at Table #6," tournament director Jerry Sorrells announced to the room. The button had his last 25,000 in the middle, the small blind shoved for 16,000, the under-the-gun player 10,000, and Tanner Larson 15,000 in middle position. Preston Dean, meanwhile, had all four opponents covered and at risk.

Under-the-gun player: 43 All in
Tanner Larson: Q10 All in
Small blind: AK All in
Button: JJ All in
Preston Dean: J10

The flop came K95 to give the small blind the lead with top pair, while Dean picked up a straight draw. The turn was the 9, but Dean spiked the Q on the river to make his straight and send all four opponents to the rail.

Sneed Busts Lebo Amid Controversy

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 5,000 ante
Silas Sneed
Silas Sneed

Controversy erupted at Silas Sneed's table, where he had moved all in from early position on a board of 6687 and Ross Lebo called for his last 20,000 in middle position.

Sneed showed QQ, while Lebo had just 22 and was left with just two outs going to the river. The dealer, though, took Sneed's cards and mucked them, saying he thought Sneed had folded. Tournament officials had to go check the cameras and recreate the board, a process that took several minutes.

The cards were eventually retrieved, and the river card turned out to be the 5 as Lebo was, finally, sent to the rail.

Red Owl Fills Up to Scoop Three-Way All In

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 5,000 ante
Jon Red Owl
Jon Red Owl

A player in middle position moved all in for 5,500 on a flop of 1035 and Jon Red Owl then reshoved for 25,500 in the hijack. Tom Sternod called in the cutoff to put both opponents at risk.

Middle-Position Player: QQ All in
Jon Red Owl: 33 All in
Tom Sternod: A10

Red Owl had spiked a set to take the lead, and the J turn and J river improved him to a full house. Red Owl doubled up off Sternod, while the middle-position player was sent to the rail.

Larson Picks Off His Opponent on the River

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Tanner Larson, Preston Dean, and another opponent saw a flop of 1086 where Larson bet 3,700 from the button. Both the under-the-gun player and Dean in the hijack called.

Larson bet another 7,500 on the K turn, and only the under-the-gun player called this time. The river was the 10 and the under-the-gun player led out for 2,500. Larson quickly called and showed 103 for a flush, and his opponent mucked.

Barnum Shows Down a Straight

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Miles Barnum
Miles Barnum

Miles Barnum was a few minutes late getting back from break and was still only standing by his seat when he three-bet to 3,500 in the small blind. The button called, and they went to a flop of AQJ.

Barnum then bet 2,500, and his opponent called. Both players checked the 10 turn, and Barnum then bet 5,500 on the J river. His opponent took a minute until calling, and Barum showed KQ for a straight. His opponent mucked A9.

Dave Ouellette just took his seat in this flight despite bagging up yesterday's Day 1a. Ouellette, as usual, was accompanied by his dog, Jack. "He's the famous one," Ouellette said.
