Ryan Phan became a more well-known name in the poker world thanks to his deep run in the WSOP Main Event this past summer. Phan finished 11th for $725,000, which at the time was his only six-figure score and by far his largest cash.

Before the Main Event run, Phan was making a name for himself in the WSOP circuit with 38 WSOP cashes and almost $400,000 in tournament winnings.

Phan and his parents immigrated from Vietnam when he was 11 and his ultimate poker goal is to buy his parent's a house and make it possible to fulfill their dream of moving back to Vietnam. He also wants to invest in real estate and possibly own a restaurant at some point.

Jim Traber is from Edmond, OK. He hosts The Afternoon Sports Beat, a sports talk show, and he's been doing sports radio for 26 years.

He infamously bet that Tiger Woods would never win another major seven years ago. The bet was only with three people for a total of $500, but it apparently became quite a big deal on the show over the past seven years.

Traber has one career tournament cash and it was at a Run Good Event in 2017 for $2,900. He's been playing poker for about ten years and is looking to add to his tournament resume this weekend.

Grant Hart and his dog Whiskey is in the field. Hart was recently married and splits time between the states and Europe.

Last season, Mark Slatcher interviewed Hart and found out more about him:

Hart, who earned his education degree from McNeese State University on a rodeo scholarship, competed in rodeo until 2015, retiring from competition following a shoulder injury. Hart completed college and while competing on the rodeo circuit, he also ran a successful real estate investment company that reached a multi-million dollar valuation by the time Hart hit 40.

"My poker career began in 2016," Hart says. Asked what he likes most about it, he doesn't have to think about the answer. "I love the payouts, but I hate the sitting. When you're used to running a million miles an hour with your hair on fire, sitting takes some getting used to."

Nick Burris has $2907,072 in career tournament winnings with $167,536 of that coming on only four cashes this year.

He has two first-place finishes, a third, and a 36th. He won the RGPS Main Event in Council Bluffs for $44,767. Then he went do RGPS Downstream and finished 36th for $1,209 before finishing third last weekend at the RGPS Kansas City Main Event for $22,293.

His biggest score of the year also came at Council Bluffs, but it was at the WSOP Circuit event where he won the Main Event for $99,267, claiming his second WSOP gold circuit ring.

Burris owns an insurance company and is a part of the Monday Night Poker group, a Kansas City home game that several of the Run Good regulars frequent.

Two RGPS Tulsa Hard Rock Main Event Flights Today, Day 1B Starts at Noon

The Run Good Poker Series Main Event at Tulsa Hard Rock continues today with the last two of three starting flights. The first flight starts at noon.

Day 1A drew 82 entries and, while that may have had something to do with poor weather, Saturday's flights are expected to be bigger. This is a $675 buyin Main Event with $100,000 guarantee. Players will start with 20,000 chips and have 12 30-minute levels before bagging for Day 2, which will start Sunday at noon.

The final ten players in this event will be the last players entered into the Showbound satellite. The Showbound satellite will give two players a $5,000 sit-n-go seat on Poker After Dark. The seat includes travel and hotel accommodation. The Showbound satellite will be Monday at noon.
