Chaler Eliminates Giroir Two Pair-Over-Top Pair; Thornton Enters

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jerry Giroir opened to 500 from the cutoff and received calls from the small blind and Bryan Chaler, who defended his big blind. The flop fell {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} and action checked to Giroir, who made a continuation-bet of 800. The small blind quickly folded and Chaler proceeded to call.

WIth action heads up, the turn came {2-Hearts} and Chaler checked again. Giroir continued with a second barrel for 1,200 and Chaler thought for a bit, ultimately check-raising to 4,200. Giroir made the call.

The river was {2-Diamonds} and Chaler announced he was all in. Giroir called for slightly less and hands were tabled.

Jerry Giroir: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Bryan Chaler: {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Chaler's two pair was good over Giroir's top pair, queen kicker, leaving him out of chips after bringing the second-best hand to showdown.

Meanwhile, Schuyler Thornton was just seen taking his seat into the tournament after failing to find a bag during last night's Flight A. He was not seen during Flight B and is looking to capitalize on the final opportunity to get through to Sunday's Day 2.

Graham Outkicks Opponent To Earn Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was around 1,800 in the middle on a board of {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Clubs} with at least five-way action. Tiffany Keathley threw out a bet of 1,800 from early position upon being checked to and received two calls from John Graham in the cutoff and the player on Keathley's left, who was under the gun.

The three then saw the turn {2-Spades}, where action checked through to the river pc]. The under-the-gun player checked again and Keathley threw out a bet of 3,600. Graham called and the under-the-gun player went into the tank for a full minute before calling as well. The dealer then awaited showdown, with nobody taking the initiative to turn over their hands.

Despite being the aggressor, Keathley still balked at tabling her hand. The under-the-gun player showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a rivered pair of jacks and Keathley sent her hand to the muck. Graham then showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a higher kicker with his pair of jacks to take down the pot.

Judge Makes the Right Decision

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Prissy Girior
Prissy Girior

Prissy Giroir opened to 700 from middle position and received a call from Judge Leo Boothe out of the cutoff. All remaining players folded and it was time to head to the streets.

"Just me and you, Judge?" confirmed Giroir as the flop came {9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}. She put out a continuation-bet of 1,000.

Boothe responded saying he would have given her action had an ace or a king not come on the flop. He folded {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} face-up.

Giroir then turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, showing that the ace and king on the flop really hurt her as she had flopped a set of nines.

"I shouldn't have shown you," she added. "I gave you too much information."

McCarty Doubles With Queens

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

There was 1,800 in the pot from preflop action between Charles McCarty in the big blind and his opponent, who was on the button. The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Spades} and McCarty checked. His opponent bet 2,100 and McCarty check-raised all in for 3,700. He was called and hands were tabled.

Charles McCarty: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

McCarty needed to fade running straight outs to a chop and running jacks to quads in order to double. He would do just that as the turn {7-Spades} left his opponent drawing dead and the river {5-Clubs} completed the runout, earning him the pot and the double in the process.

Leon Gets His Second KO of the Day

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
David Leon
David Leon

There was about 6,500 in the middle on a board of {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the small blind put out a bet of 2,000 into his opponent, David Leon, who was in middle position. Leon made the call and the river came {9-Clubs}. The small blind bet another 6,000 and Leon put him all in for 15,300 effective. The player thought for a few moments and called.

Leon tabled {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the second-nut trips and his opponent sent his cards to the muck without being tabled, getting up from the table afterwards as the pot was sent Leon's way. According to the table, this was Leon's second knockout of the evening.

Allegedly, there is a player named Matt whose last name is unknown and Leon told him at the start of the tournament that he was going to raise his big blind every time tonight. One such occasion resulted in Matt's being felted at the expense of Leon, who now sits with over two starting stacks in the first hour of play in the evening.

Koch Wins at Showdown

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

There was around 1,000 in the middle with a handful of players in the pot as action checked to the player on the button, who put out a bet of 500 on a flop reading {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. He received calls from the small blind, Bonnie Weitzel in the big blind, and Kevin Koch in the cutoff to proceed four-handed.

The turn came {10-Clubs} and both the small blind and Weitzel checked again. Koch then took the initiative, putting out a bet of 800. The player on the button and the small blind both folded to put action back onto Weitzel, who called. The river fell {k-Diamonds} and saw both players check to take the hand to showdown.

Koch tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} upon checking back, showing his pair of tens with the ace kicker. Weitzel acknowledged his hand was good and sent hers to the muck, resulting in the pot being sent Koch's way.
