John Twyman raised to 2,400 under the gun before an early-position player three-bet to 9,500. Matthew Sabia then moved all in for 38,000 in the big blind, Twyman called, and the early-position player got out of the way.
Matthew Sabia: Q♦Q♣
John Twyman: K♦K♣
Sabia saw his queens were crushed by Twyman's kings and quickly stood up from his seat and put his backpack on prepared to make his exit. The flop, though, brought Q♥3♠3♦ to give him a full house and the lead. The rest of the board ran out 8♠9♦ and Sabia sat back down and accepted his double up.
"As soon as you did that, I knew it was coming," Kyle Dishongh, watching the action from another table, said.
"I tried that earlier and it didn't work," Sabia replied.
Yishu Yang moved all in for her last 11,500 in the hijack and Kieran Davey called in middle position.
Yishu Yang: 5♦5♠
Kieran Davey: K♥6♥
Yang quickly fell behind as the flop came 6♠J♥3♣ to give Davey the lead with a pair of sixes. The rest of the board ran out J♣8♣ and Yang was sent to the rail.
Steve Tindle bet 4,500 from middle position on a flop of A♦3♠Q♣ and Michael Miravi called in the small blind.
Tindle bet another 7,500 on the 3♥ turn, and Miravi again called. The river was the 8♣ and Tindle bet another 20,000. Miravi called once more.
Tindle showed K♦10♦, while Miravi had K♣Q♠ for a pair of queens to take the pot.
"I knew you were full of shit. It was coming out of your ears," Miravi joked with Tindle after the hand.
Alan Gendelman had just taken his seat when he was faced with a three-bet to 9,500 from Rob Cohen on the button. Gendelman then moved all in from the cutoff, and Cohen called.
Alan Gendelman: Q♦Q♥
Rob Cohen: A♠K♦
Gendelman immediately found himself involved in a classic flip and hit a set on the Q♣10♠J♠ flop, but Cohen flopped a straight to take the lead. The turn was the 6♦, and the 6♠ river gave Gendelman a full house and the quick double up.
"First hand of the tournament!" Gendelman yelled out in celebration.
A player under the gun raised to 2,400 and Mark Redding called in middle position. Tyler Shields then three-bet to 12,000 on the button and the under-the-gun player moved all in for 24,700. Redding folded, while Shields quickly called.
All-in player: A♥K♠
Tyler Shields: 10♦10♠
Shields' pair remained in the lead on the J♦5♥7♣ flop, while the rest of the board ran out 9♠5♠ and the all-in player was sent to the rail.

Yaser Al-Keliddar: 7♥7♠
Kai Nicholls: 8♦8♠
Al-Keliddar found his pair dominated by Nicholls' eights, and he found no help on the 6♥4♥3♠4♦4♣ board.
"Hey, I made a full house. Good luck to most of you," Al-Keliddar told his tablemates on his way to the rail.
A player on the button moved all in for 15,000 on a flop of 2♣J♦J♣ and Jose Cayetano snap-called in early position.
All-in player: 4♣4♦
Jose Cayetano: A♦A♥
The at-risk player had jammed right into Cayetano's aces, and the 8♠ turn and 7♦ river offered no reprieve as he headed to the exit.
