With around 10,000 in the pot on a flop of 9♠2♦4♣, the big blind bet 4,000 and Daniel Vanscoy called on the button.
The turn was the 7♦ and the big blind bet another 15,000. Vanscoy then moved all in and his opponent, with around 20,000 behind, took a few seconds before folding.
Scott Willette bet 2,000 from under the gun on a flop of 5♥6♣10♣ and Robert Rothenberger called on the button.
Willette bet another 3,000 on the 4♠ turn, and Rothenberger again called. Willette checked the 7♥ river, and Rothenberger bet 7,000. Willette quickly called.
Rothenberger could only show Q♣2♣ for a missed flush draw, while Willette had A♥A♦ to win the pot.
Steven Abelman had a raise of 3,000 in front of him from under the gun and Frederick Schmidt called in middle position before Andrew Hurst moved all in from the cutoff. Abelman called for 49,000, while Schmidt got out of the way.

Abelman had Hurst crushed with his kings, and the A♥A♠A♦ flop gave him a full house and left Hurst drawing only to running quads. "High hand!" another tablemate yelled out. The turn was the 7♠, while Hurst caught the Q♠ on the river but it still wasn't enough to avoid handing over the double up to Abelman.
A player in middle position three-bet to 1,800 and Jose Lima called.
The middle-positon player bet 1,500 on the 4♦A♠Q♣ flop, Lima raised to 4,000, and his opponent called. "This is an action table. Full of crushers. This is the final table," tablemate Robert Rothenberger said as both players checked the Q♥ turn.
Lima then led out for 12,000 on the 8♣ river, and his opponent quickly folded. "Bluff or value?" Rothenberger asked.
"I don't know. I don't know how to play. I thought this was blackjack," Lima joked.
With around 5,000 in the pot on a flop of K♥10♥9♠, Joshua Martin bet 1,700 from middle position and Baruch Fishman called in the small blind.
The 9♦ turn was checked through, and Fishman then bet 11,000 on the 3♠ river. Martin tanked for a minute before calling, and Fishman showed A♠Q♠. Martin turned over A♦K♠ and took the pot with two pair.
Kyle Dishongh and Kai Nicholls, who made the final table of this event last year, recently joined the field.
Adam Steinback bet 1,100 from the button on a flop of Q♠6♠3♥ and the small blind called. Andrew Hurst then raised to 4,000 in the big blind, and both Steinback and the small blind called.
The turn was the 10♥ and Hurst bet 11,000. Steinback folded, but the small blind then moved all in for 45,000. Hurst quickly called.
The small blind showed 6♦3♦ for two pair, but Hurst had flopped a better two pair with Q♥6♥. The river was the K♠, and Hurst scored the first knockout of the day.

Craig Trent raised to 600 under the gun and Guo Chen called in middle position. Peter Owczarzak then three-bet to 1,200 in the hijack and Trent called, while Chen four-bet to 3,600. Both opponents called.
Chen continued for 3,800 on the 9♠8♣K♣ flop, and only Owczarzak called. Both players checked the 9♣ turn, and Chen also checked the 10♥ river. Owczarzak then bet 7,000, and Chen quickly folded.
John Wilson raised to 1,000 in the small blind and was called by Jose Cayetano in the big blind, Daniel Vanscoy in the cutoff, and another opponent on the button.
Action checked to Vanscoy on the 2♥Q♦K♥ flop, and he bet 1,700. Only Wilson called. Both players then checked the 6♥ turn.
Wilson led out for 5,500 on the Q♣ river, and Vanscoy then raised to 12,500. Wilson stopped to take a sip of his energy drink before sending his cards back to the dealer.
Six players went to a flop of A♠2♣Q♥ as action checked around to John Filippone on the button, who bet 1,000. Kevin Hester called in the small blind, as did another opponent in the cutoff.
All three players checked the 7♠ turn. Hester then led out for 4,000 on the 10♠ river, and only Filippone called.
Hester showed K♣J♠ for a straight, but Filippone had 4♠3♠ for a flush to win the pot.
