Lerner Flops the Nuts For the First Bustout

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Delilah Lerner
Delilah Lerner

Delilah Lerner raised to 700 under the gun and an opponent in the hijack three-bet to 2,000. Tarry Stanford called in the small blind, as did Lerner.

The flop came J104 and the cutoff continued for 1,200. Stanford then moved all in for 6,900, and Lerner called. The cutoff got out of the way.

Tarry Stanford: 65 All in
Delilah Lerner: A8

Both players had flopped a flush, but Lerner showed down the nut flush. The 2 turn gave Stanford the chance for a straight flush, but he missed the 7 river and was sent to the rail as the first elimination of the tournament.
