Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action picked up on the flop in a heads-up battle with a board of {5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and about 30,000 in the middle.

A player in middle position led for 15,000 and Kevin Nguyen made the call in the cutoff.

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and Nguyen saw his opponent move all in for about 20,000. Nguyen made the snap call, and his opponent winced when he saw it.

All-in player: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Kevin Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Nguyen had his opponent drawing very thin, and the {8-Hearts} changed nothing, giving Nguyen the victory.

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Elizabeth Ethridge shared a hand after the fact that has resulted in her being one of the room's big stacks.

She tangled with another big stack at the table who had a very similar stack to herself at the time. She had aces and her opponent had kings.

The board came nine-high with all low cards and the two got all the chips in the middle. Ethridge's aces held and the cooler gave her piles of chips as we near the end of level nine.

Jeremy Calverley: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Calverley drilled the straight to overtake the trips of his opponent, but had to dodge full house outs on the river. The {a-Hearts} was clean and Calverley locked up the double.

"I knew that was a bad card, I almost folded," said his opponent. "I thought sometimes he might have jack-ten."

Moen Gets Respect

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mark Hodge opened from under the gun to 2,300 and the player on his immediate left made the call. In middle position, Chris Moen three-bet up to 13,800.

"Do you want a call?" asked Hodge as he contemplated. "Are you scared of all this?" he pointed at his smaller-than-Moen's chip stack. Moen just shrugged.

Hodge eventually folded, as did the player in between.

"Do you want to see?" asked Moen. Hodge did, and Moen showed {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

"I was supposed to get a read on you," laughed Hodge as Moen raked his pot.
