Aleksejs Ponajkovs made it 20,000 to go and was called only by Malaysia's Tuck Wai Foo in the small blind. They headed to the A♣8♣7♠ flop on which Foo check-called for 45,000 while the J♥ turn was checked. Foo check-called another 100,000 on the J♣ river but mucked upon being shown the A♠K♥ by Ponakovs.
Jia Jingtao pushed all-in for only 63,000 on the button with the J♦6♦ and was called by Martin Finger out of the big blind with the A♣5♥.
The K♥5♠4♦10♦ turn had more outs for Jingtao but he missed them all on the A♠ river.
Vladimir Dobrovolskii raised to 22,000 from under the gun and quickly called the three-bet shove by Manuel Fritz for 185,000 from two seats over.

The most classic of flips saw Dobrovolskii improve on a board of K♦8♠2♥2♣Q♣ to send Fritz to the rail.
Jesse Lonis declared that he was still tilted and "just wants to find a bag" while he added a ton of chips in the short period since the action resumed. The steam rolling of the American poker prodigy also caused tilt all around the table, as Sergei Kharchenko vanished in two hands.
Xuming Qi doubled off him for 128,000 with 10♣9♣ versus A♦8♠ preflop when the board came K♠9♦2♠7♣K♦.
Kharchenko then three-bet jammed into Rowan Wong, who looked him up.

The kicker played on the K♦J♥6♠4♠7♣ board to send Kharchenko to the rail. Shortly after, David Yan sat down with a fresh bullet.
Naohiro Matsuda opened to 20,000 in the cutoff and David Yan three-bet jammed a stack of 95,000 on the button. Matsuda called with a bigger stack.

The flop of J♦10♥7♠ put Matsuda in front and his hand only improved on the runout of 10♠10♣ to mark Yan's elimination.
Shung Er Sua raised it up to 20,000 and Chao Duan called in the next seat in the cutoff. The 10♦10♥9♥ flop saw Sua bet for 13,000 and Duan raised to 40,000, picking up a call from Sua. That led them to the 4♦ turn on which Sua checked. Duan bet 175,000 and his table neighbour burned through four time bank extensions before folding.
The dinner break was extended due to the bounty pull of yesterday's Mystery Bounty Event and the cards are now back in the air for the final level during the registration period. With up to 474 entries on Day 1b, the overall tally is at nearly four figures and the action is expected to pick up significantly in the next couple of minutes.
