Alex Kulev raised to 50,000 from under the gun, and Mehdi Chaoui three-bet to 120,000 in middle position. The action returned to Kulev, who called.
Kulev check-called a bet of 70,000 on a 10♠J♦10♦ flop, and the 9♠ turn was checked through.
The 5♦ completed the board, and Kulev took the initiative and bet 675,000, leaving 50,000 behind. That sent Chaoui deep into the tank. Initially, he sat forward to get a better look at Kulev, but then changed position, squatting next to the table with his head resting on the edge. As his time bank ticked down, he stood up and took another look at Kulev. With just a few seconds remaining on his time bank, Chaoui opted to call.
Kulev rolled over 7♠7♦, and Chaoui tabled the winner with his K♠K♥.
While Kulev pondered the pot, Chaoui immediately got a masseuse.
Left with just 10,000, Kulev doubled up the following hand before quadrupling to have 80,000.
